My Molly was a white gsd / golden retriever mix.she was an amazing dog. We loved her so much. We just put her down a few months ago. It broke my heart ❤️
Nothing on Kelpies? Why is the Kelpie not mentioned in these types ranking. Highly trainable, super smart, adaptable, fun, loving & hard working. Great working dogs & great family dogs. They can get overly protective of their owner. I'd place the Kelpie up there with Boarder Collies. Is it because they're more popular in Australia & less so in other parts of the world?
Samoyed mix and Lab. And Lab itself was represented by something somewhat similar to actual Lab. Not talking about German Shepherd standing in for Shetland Sheepdog.
My friend, you forgot to put it on your list : Giant Schnauzers, or even BRT, there are DobPinsch and Poodles in combination too, but who knows that wonderfull breeds ?
This is a very limited list of dog breeds. I agree with BCs and poodles, but Dobies do not belong on this list, and other breeds like the varieties of Belgian Sheepdogs and Australian Cattle Dogs are much more intelligent.
I can remember when border collies were not considered as being super intelligent dogs. I wonder how much of this is just the trendy way of thinking about this. Growing up, my family always had poodles, German shepherds, and border collies. The poodles and German shepherds were clearly the smartest, with the poodles were clearly the most trainable. The German shepherds excelled in loyalty. The border collies were thought to be valuable for their ability to single out evil people and threats. The German shepherds loved our cats, but it was the border collies that watched over them.
You must have had stupid one. The one I have right now is not only the smartest dog I have ever owned but it is scary how smart he really is. And yes there can be stupid dogs just like people can be stupid.

Labrador retrievers are the smartest dogs hands down
Nope I call them 2x4 dogs ya have to hit them up side the head to get there attention. Boarder collies hands down.
Huskies can speak English
and all dogs can speak DOG-Esperanto as well - most perfectly (and different from human societies)
