My dad was in that area born 1909. I keep telling people how the government poisoned the liquor and it's now on national geographic channel. Whiskey was being served at the white house nightly yet poor backwoods people lost homes, children and lives. Some had nothing to do with it just caught in the middle

Allen Franks no disrespect but not im sure what you are trying to say. jeff k ok sorry to many long work hours lol. National Geographic did a documentary about how the government poisoned moonshine. First it only made people sick so they made it stronger and it killed many people but the government spread lies that the moonshine was made by people who didn't know what they were doing. This was to stop the everyday person from selling moonshine that was untaxed. Yet thanks to prohibition alcohol was illegal yet president Taft or Harding I need to look it up, was serving moonshine at the whitehouse
