The reason why Gary Oldman didn't shoot Shia was because when he said he was a Bonderant, Oldman recognized the name, and remember when Shia and Cricket drove off and Oldman smacked the guy with the shovel and yelled he didn't want a blood fued on his hands, thats why :)
I loved this movie!
Me too , great cast 😊
This was a good movie. The acting was strong all around, and even Shia LaBeouf, surprisingly, did a good job, and he wasn't irritating. Tom Hardy stole the show, even though he had 1/3 of the lines Labeouf had. He just has such a strong physical presence on screen and can command your attention with his facial expressions. He truly has the mark of a great actor. Guy Pierce's character was a villain you loved to hate, and Jessica Chastain proves again that she is going to be a legendary actress.
I love how this guy was talking about accents but never clarified on how it was wrong.
I never understand why they always compare their final ratings to the Tomatometer. WTF gives a numerical score on how much they liked it, the Tomatometer doesn't measure intensity, it measures just what percentage of reporting critics liked a movie - the scores don't even make sense to compare. If we take a numerical rating of greater than 6 as a "positive" review, then WTF's "tomatometer" is 66% (two of the three of you liked it) - which is what you would compare to the Tomatometer score.
tom hardy has been killing it in every movie
He sure knows how to grunt.
I missed you whattheflick and dared not venture to the cinemas without your analysis.
Alonso is spot-on about The Road. I still have no idea why they made the changes they did. They cut/modified the two moments in the book that were so disturbing I had to set it down. These changes hurt the films narrative because you never get a sense of the level of desperation, only the despair.
The Road is one of my favorite books. It's a quick and easy read. Do yourselves a favor and pick it up.
I agree with you Alonso, they should have added the 'baby on a spit' scene in The Road. I think the father/son due happened upon about 1000 more corpses in the novel.
Happy Birthday, Christy. you are GORGEOUS. so happy you guys are back. your return made my long weekend.
Getting this late but the guy with glasses has no clue what he is talking about when they bring up accents.
This guy has apparently never been to the deep south mountains.
Hardy hit the accent very well in the movie.
Are you kidding me? There is no way that 'The Road' could have been any bleaker. Good movie but damn tough to watch.
Took me all of 8 years since seeing this review to watch and its kinda of a fucking masterpiece. Flawed but incredible.
All this people do Is ripe apart movies.....I loved this movie. Saw it twice.
"Did you miss us? Because we misses you" * followed by uncontrollable laughter * lol !
Hardy is the tough guy and LaBitch is the weasel guy, perfect casting!
Also Hillcoat/Cave collaborated on 'The Road' so expect to see a similar style. Which is good because The Road was fucking awesome.
You guys are back!
Two comments had me LOL- Guy Pearce character beamed in from Blade Runner and the microphone in Tom hardy's nasal cavity.
Forty is looking pretty damn fine from where I'm sitting.
Was so excited for this movie, but like Killing Them Softly from the same year, I found it to be very clunky.
Happy Birthday Christy
Hey people!! Lets be brothers with each other!!
When do you guys get to screen Lincoln?
Alonso always comes across as too pretentious for his own good. He thought this was worse than For a good time, call and Cosmopolis...Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but...WTF!
WTF WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? I MISSED YOU!
I hated this movie, but I don't get why at the end of every review you bring up the tomato meter... the tomato meter is a qualitative rating not quantitative so there's no point in comparing them. RT also has an "average" rating number. you can mention the score but you guys always bring it up as if they're comparable in that sense.
you guys are back
It took me a few times before I could get through "The Road." Very tough to watch.
At around 5:15 they start to get into accents and a little bit of the vernacular - which to me is spot on. Tom Hardy can nail his voice performance to a tee and he has a crop of movies that prove that. That's just one little disagreement with this I'm making lol.
happy B-DAY!!!!!!!!!
7? why do they always underrate films. I give it a 9
Happy birth week. 'Day' is done, we get weeks now.
Where is ur Expendables2 review???
FINALLY WhatTheFlick is back!!! Thank you, keep the videos coming!!!
This movie was awesome great acting and guy pierce was a beast... I don't know what's the deal with the gay guy not liking a lot of of this movies lately...I think he wants to be the simon cowell of the show
Except Alonzo the buzz kill
Prohibition and all the bootlegging started in 1920. Ended in 1933.
Give this film a miss, The Proposition was better, Pearce's performance was better in that and there's no LeBeouff.
I thought this was a blow up version of Tom Hardy and he was deflating through out this movie! Christy Happy Birthday you hottie.
Watching these reviews are my guilty pleasure. Guilty cause I hate their reviews, but pleasurable cause I fancy the pants of Christy! Go on ya good thing!!!
If Christy "is what 40 looks like", I'm feeling better about my future :)
same here!
Hello
2 scenes that were unexplained? Dude these birches tripping great scene. Terrible reviewers
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
40 looks awesome.
no stupid comments from ben menkowitz?
TYT Movie Reviews remind me of that short lived cartoon starring John Lovitz, 'The Critic.' Almost every movie gets shot down immediately. Every time a movie comes out that I might want to watch I cruise past this cite and the review is almost always negative. I wish I could bet on movie scores because TYT reliably shoots shows down.
i really liked this movie.
All these people do I
not very high standards my friend
cool name bro.
I love this show.
I missed you!
Happy b-day! :)

I MISSED YEW ; - ;
Why is it so hard to figure out what’s real and what’s fake? Even when I google facts all I see is stupid ass opinions about the movie and actors. NO ONE FUCKING CARES. Give us some solid facts on how fucked up our government is or how fucked up those people were. I enjoyed the film but saying it’s based on a true story is way out there. This movie was honestly pretty ass. Very disappointing
I don't think she's that hot :///
