Look at how gentle he tried when he shake her hand. I like how Forrest loss for words a bit at the end. He's obviously nervous despite his brusque reputation.
It's funny but there men out there that have no fear when it comes to situations involving physical danger but when a pretty woman shows up and talks to them they are shaken to their core.
i like the implication that despite being such a stone cold badass and obvious alpha dog in his pack, Forrest is actually pretty inexperienced with women. the scene where Maggie finally takes the initiative and goes to him, he's almost totally at a loss. it's endearing and humanizing.

No comments as of yet as the behaviour of Forest and his brothers. The minute he sees her, he takes off his hat as a sign of courtesy. Then when Howard and Jack come in they do exactly the same. Boy, I miss that. That was when there was respect between the sexes. Now it doesn't exist because of the big 'F'. Shame.
