I think you should save 70k by not applying for this card
It's worth. Think like rich. Ofcourse you should have excess money but I get to meet the whose who at the lounge. Helped me immensely in my bussiness
Its about how much you earn and how grand of a lifestyle you want. Regarding the worth, they have upgrades to Etihad first class complimentary so that alone is far more value than fees.
You are getting gold status in marriott, taj, hilton from which you can get suite upgrades. I was a platinum member at Marriott last year and with that I just booked 2 days in JW Mariott dubai for like 19k per night and got upgraded to suite which is like 70k per night.
Now if you say you dont want a luxurious lifestyle, dont wanna fly business / first class or wanna stay in 5 star properties then you are just not the target audience of this card

Got the 55k taj or 115,000 points welcome bonus option and the card to be delivered today, I think its back to normal where points are an option being offered
Though you are my competitor, but we both educate people on the same topics, my humble suggestion is to add chapters to your videos to make it easy for a viewer to find a particular information in a detailed video like this. Keep up the good work :)

i have a plat - Travel concierge service is crap. i asked for meet and greet service(which is now paid) - and was given an estimate of 400 GBP(40k inr)

In comparison to the US version, the Indian version of Amex platinum weighs low. And now by restricting the options in joining bonus and not providing good cash back offers, they are killing this card in India even faster.
Agreed. The Indian version doesn't hold a candle against the US version. We just hope they add more value to the card.
@@CardAcademy They won’t do so unless Indians decide to boycott the card till they add more value. Now you are saying that there concierge is not great either, even after this eye watering fee. This is ridiculous.
@@amitabhmaheshwari Concierge is okayish. Not as good as they claim it to be.
We also believe that since there was a long ban on Amex, they didn't roll out good offers initially so that they can cater to the pent-up demand. Offers may improve as the new cardholders numbers dip. This is pure speculation on our part though.

Keep MRCC with plat charge. This way you can take advantage of gold collection.

@@CardAcademy Yes, but normally they allow 1 charge card and 2 credit cards. Though yes, I have seen a few people with both gold and plat charge cards.

Unfortunately Amex is currently not giving an option of 100,000 MR points as welcome benefits. They are forcing Taj vouchers of ₹ 45,000.
To some people they do. I think one needs to request their support team. We have also received targeted offer where Amex offered 1,15,000 points on joining instead of 1,00,000 points or Taj vouchers.

@@CardAcademy i agree with Amitabh here, didn’t get 1L MR point as i applied as new amex customer, u might get if u are existing Amex customer but chances are slim, for new customers, customer care confirmed they have stopped the MR points welcome benifits

Amex Platinum and Axis reserve are both good for their non spend based benefits. But for best return you should have Axis Magnus followed by HDFC Infinia.

What is difference between Amex Corporate Platinum and Amex Personal Platinum Cards ? Any difference in features ?
Not much, Corporate Plat is for your Business spendings, like you can even pay your vendors etc. Whereas individual Plat is for your personal expenses and leisure.

Definitely for first year. Second year onwards depends on the retention benefit.

Got an offer to upgrade to metal Infinia. Not availing as I have PVC Infinia LTF.
It can be availed just for one night stay at Taj after spending Rs. 50K. Not a bad deal in our opinion.

Yes. Very high APR like credit cards.

Charge cards don't have any Interest (finance Charge) ,but charge cards have a high LPF(late payment Fee)...it's 5% on the total outstanding plus gst

Hi team, I have a Mrcc Amex card. With a pretty good spend limit. Now I have been offered an Amex platinum from Amex with 135000 reward points and fees of rupees 60,000 all inclusive. Should I go ahead? It is very tempting but the annual fee is a big red flag for me
Go ahead but cancel in the next year. 1.35 L points can recover your fee
I also wanted a charge card from Amex. But I have settled for gold card.
Gold is an extremely good card. Platinum charge for us doesn't make sense beyond the first year.
@@CardAcademy Gold card in India is also lower in value than its US version, but then the fee is also low, ₹ 4500 against 250 USD for US version. In plat charge they charge the same fee in India and yet don’t give the same benefits.

Amex cards are waste in India in terms of their benefit… I’m very happy with their customer service… I’m about to close my 2nd Amex card also.

Physical verification generally nahi hota. Eligibility mein main factor rehta hai ki aapke paas koi aur Bank ka card ho.
