They never should be allowed to resign instead of being investigated. Thats one of the big problems in law enforcement in America. They resign and go to another police department and continue the same thing in another city.

A prisoner died in our local facility. The individual who presided was allowed to resign, retire and never faced any repercussion. Our sheriff took full responsibility, stayed to see deputies fired and safe medical procedures put in place. He did not run for office again.😮

That is actually how it goes… they get “fired” just to move to another county/state and join the force there.

@ they give them the option, resign,or be fired. They always resign. The police unions train them the safest way to keep their careers going even though the unions know they are bad cops and detrimental to policing in general. Qualified immunity needs to be abolished and police unions need to be banned. Police unions are more about protecting the guilty and less about collective bargaining.

*What a story of resilience and justice! Seeing Marcus stand firm in the face of such humiliation and turn it into a moment of transformation is inspiring. That final scene with the new police officers working alongside the community was so heartwarming. This gives me hope that change is possible when people stand up for what’s right!*

You do realise it's fictitious and scripted? Internal Affairs would not have this kind of open door policy of information. Not to mention l'm 64 and l have only once seen anything even remotely like an investigation with the right intent behind it. There is NO such thing as Justice for All. Beside the Fact the Law is Not just Blind, it's also Deaf, Dumb and Damned Stupid.

That's sadly probably true in some towns and cities. My family and I live in a small town in Kansas. Our police force has changed and is now through the Sheriff's department. I think we are better served because of that! Sometimes, having a police force that is people who live in town isn't a good idea! So this really is a positive change here. Thank you for showing this to other's who can learn from it!

I've lived in some crappy places, but I've never had a bad experience with a cop, that I didn't initiate. I can however sympathize with those who have. I've heard how some cops, of rank, talk about people they've arrested and I can see, if that attitude was present at the arrest, it would be a bad time for the suspect.

The first thing on this story, I would not have allowed those officers to resign. The review and prosecution of these two would proceed, along with their superiors. Then any police officer in the past with alleged abuse would be held accountable if their body cams were not on. If the body cam was not on during a stop that occurred and a complaint was filed, there would be an automatic investigation and a suspension. Regardless of the officers resigning, there would still be an investigation and their pensions would be forfeited if they are found guilty. If the citizens wanted to sue the officers, the payout would come from those officers involved and not the city. They also would be going to jail and having to address their behavior with the new officers being trained with no pay and during their prison sentence. They would be wearing prison clothes while doing this community service at the police academy. It would send a clear message to any officer that thinks that they can get away with this. After this they would be returned to jail every day.

For those who are wondering, a brief look at the channels ideas and the lack of any real references shows the stories on this channel are just stories. There is obviously too much detail in them to be true. That said, I actually have experienced police injustice. The cops forced me to illegally cross two lanes at once before pulling me over. And after a few minutes they came back to me and told me I was "lucky" that they were letting me off with a "warning ". It wasn't until later that I realized they forced me to change lanes twice, and were reviewing footage to make sure they could give me a ticket, only to realize it was their fault.

There’s no police there’s a bunch of police that act like criminals and bullies and then when people say we don’t like criminals and bullies. The police say look at us and point to Norman Rockwell, painting of a police officer having a milkshake with a kid and then you look at the police and they look like they’re straight out of call of duty and full military operator gear , and they want respect and honor without doing any other work or being honest

This story is a powerful example of how a single moment of injustice can spark real change. Marcus Chen didn’t just experience humiliation-he turned it into an opportunity to reform an entire system. How often do we hear about abuses of power but feel powerless to stop them? Here, someone finally stood up and made a difference.
What’s even more inspiring is how the story comes full circle. The same officers who caused harm became part of the solution, proving that accountability and redemption can coexist. Do you think more cities should adopt reforms like these?
It’s also a reminder for all of us: How we respond to injustice defines who we are. Would you have the courage to turn such a humiliating experience into a fight for justice? Let’s discuss! Share your thoughts below-what would you do if you were in Marcus’s position?

I just don't understand why a bad police officer always has a choice of resigning. They should only have that choice if you have a new plan to go along with the resign. That they would have to do if they wanted to Resign & yet get a second chance to become a better police officer just like these 2 guys ask if they could work in the new way a police officer is trained & teach the new what not to do. But they would have to work in the program, but never to return to the streets as a police officer again. Unless you have a program that they would have to go through special training all over for themselves & never be put together with any police officer that's had complaints made against them. And if any police officer gets a complaint made against them it should be investigated right away from the body camera, the dash camera, to never be turn off except when they have to go to a rest room, & off duty. Or when they are just sitting & waiting to catch someone doing wrong on the street. When you pull off or turn around to stop someone you your way to get them you should turn body camera on at same time you turn your lights on to make a stop. Passenger officer should make sure the dash camera all camera's are on as your stopping the vehicle. They should ask if all camera are on. Every officer that is involved in a traffic stop should have body camera on. Not just one officer. Everyone cause one camera can't always catch everything. It takes different angles to get everything. I watch these & only 1 officer having a camera on doesn't get it all. Any officers that's a bully, smart mouth & aggressive should have to go back & get retrained. Bet that would get them thinking.. I think personally they would be on their toes & be better officer's. So if they are repeatedly doing wrong then after 3 times They should have to face consequences. Counseling isn't always the answer. Make them either go back & take the training part that has to do with whatever it is their doing wrong. And the one training I as a woman think should be a must is to teach the male officer how to treat a female on a traffic stop. Most females out there especially the young or most are afraid of the male ones because of all the ones that are bad & like to take advantage of females. Let some females bribe them & they are officers that will take it & go on. That's why their should be 2 officers at all times & a female officer has to be respected & treated with respect & even if a female officer gets out of hand she should face the same consequences as a male does. They need some kind of special training for this as they train to become a officer. Same as the military has too.
