I'm looking forward to the Mix Fold 4 and Open 2. To a much lesser degree, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. One major factor in determining which I purchase is price. Not going to pay $1800 for a Samsung or any phone. Things I would like to see: Xiaomi - allowing global users the ability to unlock the bootloaders on Chinese phones or give us reasonably priced global release. OnePlus - thinner, slightly taller, less flat (slightly more rounded edges), wireless charging. Samsung - wider outer screen, better camera's and a price that isn't in another Galaxy far, far away.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 looks fantastic and would definitely consider buying depending on the price 👍🏻 keep the good work up love your reviews 😊

What I love about this channel is that the plethora of options provided right in front of our eyes. Compared to other big box channels who seems to disregard the competition if they fail to meet a specific sales target or number of user saturation. In my country alone, our only option is Honor and Samsung BUT you'll never see traditional reviewers take a second look at the "other side" of the market if it's not Samsung. Here, in this channel, you can definitely see the pros and cons of each brand and IF GIVEN CHOICE, you'll see that SALES and POPULARITY is not an indicator of quality.
1+ Open 2 and Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 both caught my attention. And it would be a first foldable for me. So fingers crossed I can get my hands on one of them.
Definitely looking forward the Z Fold 6 Ultra(possibly), Open 2, and the Pixel Fold 2
waiting for the new SOC's, this current gen is awesome but approc 40% increase when the nodes are on 3nm

On the advice of your channel, I got the OnePlus Open and WOW what an amazing phone (and then it is also has the inner screen and great software! I am really on the "foldable" boat now.....
So, now I am really looking forward to the OPO2 (even if it just iterates on the OPO1) and then my son will have my OPO1 at he heads to college.
Although this "group" don't normally have the money for this sort device, my thinking is to get them interested at this stage.
I would LOVE to get the OPO2..... 🙂

Been watching your videos for a while now, excellent reviews on folding phones and China Rom info, very tempted to buy the Vivo Fold 3 Pro via your Wonda link, but thinking I should hold out for the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, however my Samsung Fold 5 narrow outer screen is driving me nuts and i doubt the Fold 6 will be able to match the specs of Vivo's Pro model so may bite the bullet and order it very shortly!

Most excited for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It would be the Z Fold ultra, but based on the leaks the outter screen will still be too narrow.
My favorite is pixel fold 2. Love the pixels in general and ready to take the dive into the foldable world and this will be my first one

I do like a Xiaomi, but always had notification problems with pretty much every model. Especially WhatsApp. So as much as I'd like to say the mix fold 4, would probably go for the open 2 of the 4.
My next phone in the next few years will be a foldable. Probably the Galaxy offering, but we'll see. Love the content man. Keep it coming!
I currently have a Z fold 5 and it is my first foldable phone. I love it for all that it is, but I long for the larger screens and thinner form factor of devices like the Magic v2 and the Vivo X fold 3. I also would love to have a vegan leather back phone which I doubt samsung plan on doing. I love rocking my phone caseless, but I feel like the glass back phones are too slippery for that so I have been opting to skin my fold instead. I am super interested to see if the mix fold 4 goes global. I am also interested in the OP open 2. But honestly, I am in the samsung ecosystem (Watch, phone, laptop, etc...) and I love all the customizations that I get in one UI. There are a TON of samsung exclusive features that I would absolutely hate to lose (goodlock, multitasking, one-handed gesture customization, dex, etc...) so I am excited to see what the Z Fold 6 offers. (And hopefully an ultra variant ith top notch camera and an integrated S-pen )

How do you feel the inner screen holds up to daily use on all of these?
I'm really excited for all the upcoming foldables. I really want to get myself a foldable, but the only thing that keeps me right now from buying the OnePlus Open is the huge camera bump on the back and all the reports of screen failure and the customer support being horrible.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 Ultra is my choice. One UI is mature and that is what matters to me most. I hope it will improve cameras and have a slot for s-pen.

Nobody talks about the most important feature of Samsung's foldables: the possibility of translating a word or text from another language with the tip of the stylus hovering over the display. This is why I would like the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Based on your videos I got the oneplus open and I absolutely love it! It's my first foldable and I don't think I will ever go back to a non folding device. Would love to get the next generation in a giveaway 🙌

My favorite is OnePlus Open 2
I've had the fold 3 , 4 and now 5. I love samsungs software and also I do like the thinner outer screen makes the phone easy to use one handed. Also I've never dropped the phone as its easier to hold.
I have been a huawei user since 2019 with the mate 20 pro. I love the fight they are putting up and I support them. I use the band 7 as well.

Good summary of what’s to come. I’m looking forwards to them all - a more powerful Open 2 is a very tempting proposition.
As a side mention, I think it’s a real shame that the long-term future of the foldable is not secure. Perhaps if Apple had entered the market and made it more mainstream than it currently is, this would not have been the case.
A foldable of any description, with a truly flagship grade camera (and good shutter speed!), real-world all-day battery life, and a respectable aspect ratio for both screen, is my dream.

Love the xiaomi mix fold 3 and looking forward to the x fold 4. I just weighed the following foldables and I'm confused by the comments by multiple people the oneplus open is heavy. Weights as follows on my scale: Open-244, magic v2 global-248, x fold 3 pro-249, mix fold 3-270
The open is a lot of things but one thing it isn't is heavy trust me on that 👍
OPO is not heavy but... your scales are off the V2 and the XF3 Pro are both approximately 236g
The x fold 3 standard is only 219g
I'm most excited about the Pixel Fold 2. The first one was a good test run, but it seemed to me more akin to a prototype. Now it's time to get serious.
And of course the Mix Fold 4 looks to be an amazing deal. If we get a global ROM, then the competition is likely to wet their pants.

Great video Mike, gotta include the call to action for each video. I've owned many phones before, but never a Pixel or Xioami, so if I had to pick one it would have to be the Xioami as I love how their devices look a wee bit more than Pixel devices.

Honestly, the z fold 6 seems pretty appealing
So tempted by foldables -- would love to have one to give it a go and see how i adapt to it. Definitely getting better and better each year with better hinges, screens etc

How i use my zfold5 in opening in 95% of the time. I like the pocket ability of folding it for my pocket for transport to walk around.only time i fold it is when i have to transport it lol

I have never owned a folding phone. I am using a Pixel 6a since 2022. I guess the Z Fold 6 Ultra or the Pixel Fold 2 would be my favourites.
I have been using SamSung phones since the S6 and now I am using a S22 Ultra, and have looked into the SamSung Z fold 5 or 6 but I have spent time searching and have noticed that the SamSung Fold phones are very small and The Google Fold 2 has a larger size inner and outer size. I have learned the screen will be bigger and better picture size for movies, games, better for reading letters, bible verse's. The Google Fold 2 will be the more up to date phone for the year.

Great prog. I have been looking for a new phone for 2 years now. I was going to buy a s23 ultra but I wasn't quite happy with size to carry round in your pocket. Then came flip phone, but came with poor camera's. Looking at the fold phone seemed to me to be at wrong aspect ratio. As you say samsung seemed to not looking at what the customer wants. One plus open seemed to me to be the best phone. But it seemed to me be alot of money and if it had a better water and dust resistance, I would have bought. Your program has high lighted that china seems to have the correct spec on phones. Just waiting now for oneplus open 2 and I will buy and if any world releases come out earlier and can beat oneplus its done job.

Of the 4 releasing, I think the Pixel Fold 2 is the most exciting though I imagine the price may put me off. My phone contracts up in a month and I'm undecided between Honor Magic V2 and Pixel Fold 1

I Love my OnePlus Open. I've had it since release and have had no problems whatsoever. I traded in my S 23 Ultra for it and am so glad that I did. The Best folding phone for 2023 for sure. Thanks for all of your videos. Keep up the good work.😊

Mix fold 4 .. i want a new foldable that will work esim in conjunction with my wear os watch. i know the oneplus will do it, but i prefer a 8" screen and Snapdragon 8 gen 3. i have absolutely zero issues with Chinese phones, I've been buying them and importing to Australia for 10 years without any issues. in reality, ive keep ahead of the pack, spec wise for a long time. i like the fact that Chinese, including oneplus, keep the global manufacturers on their toes. 👍😊

Samsung seems like they're actually going to innovate and make the z fold 6 into a product actually worth buying, so I would definitely go with the fold 6

I really hope the latest rumors are not true and the Mix Fold 4 will get a global release and not just the Mix Flip. I want to switch to a foldable but definitely need eSIM and unlockable bootloader/rooting. But let‘s see what also the Pixel Fold 2 will bring
I'm not that sure Samsung can surprise us with the Z fold 6... They are playing security through minor upgrades since too many years now, and at this moment they still are the kings (in sales) on the global market. In my opinion we will have to wait more iterations for them making a significant move. That's why I'm more interested in the Oneplus Open 2, nearer from the "perfection".

I'm very confused by all the conflicting rumors about the Z Fold6. I really like my OnePlus Open but I am otherwise heavily in the Samsung ecosystem. If I could get a Samsung foldable in the OnePlus Open form-factor, I'd be a happy guy! We'll see what happens July 10.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is my choice - the one I'm looking out for. I've used their smartphones over the years and they have never disappointed in software and hardware areas. So I'll vote for Mix Fold 4, believing it will be available globally. And by the way, Average Dad (I often call your channel Big Dad!), you're doing a great job in your reviews; I just love them.
