Hello. Hope all is well. Firstly, I want to thank you for providing great content (e.g. neurological; music; analysis; etc.). You are a great communicator, very charismatic, thorough, and delightful. Thank you for sharing your time, experiences, and research findings. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay happy! Everything else is manageable! Pops
I know I've said this before but I have to say it again. You present so much information at such a high professional level and yet keep everything understandable. Thank you.
Thank you for the excellent detailed review. I really appreciate that you emphasize the differences in animal vs. human models within the experimental data.
Really impressive review, thank you for taking the time to do this! This has been very helpful in my reaching magnesium for healthy blood pressure support
So much valuable information packed in a short video. You deserve millions of followers 💯. Can you please talk about supplements for people really struggling with finding words and word recall. This is becoming such a struggle
Doctor, you are doing the good work, thank you! Magnesium Taurate hasn’t had a dramatic effect on me. It’s definitely safe and doesn’t have side effects compared to others. I started Glysinate again and got an immediate effect with better sleep and absorption.
❤🎉 you are wonderful at explaining and giving examples in individual way to take notes from as we know it can be also confusing and the best thing ever is that you answered the questions that people ask you thank you for that new subscriber❣️❣️💕☺️
Thank you for how thorough and safe you are with these videos. I think in an older video you mentioned possibly making one about bacopa (B. monnieri); do you think you still might? My mother started taking it a couple years ago after suffering multiple TBIs within the span of a few years, although at the same time as a number of other herbal supplements so while she's been doing a lot better since then overall it's unknown which is doing what if anything. I started taking it myself since a glance at some of the research around it seems promising (well and non-toxic at the very least👍) and I think it's provided some mental clarity that's helped a bit with some of the outer effects of my depression and anxiety, but it can be a bit hard to tell. Also any time you feel inspired to post more musical covers, please don't hesitate. We're here for it💜 🌺Thanks again🦋
Appreciate your thoughtful words, Ian! It's great to hear how supplementing with bacopa helped you and your mom. I have compiled most of the research notes on this supplement - just need to finalize them and will have a video out soon about it (thanks to your reminder and request!). Also, thank you for the encouragement for my more artistic content on my channel. I really appreciate the support!
Thanks for the great video! I find that Magnesium Taurate has a better calming effect than Magnesium Glycinate. And since I take it I got rid of heartburn.
My brother in law was experiencing severe leg cramping at night for several years. He tried the magnesium taurate from Cardiovascular Research and experienced complete relief from the cramping after the first dose. It is possible many other forms could have been equally effective but at least his remission has lasted for a few weeks now. Anecdotal, I know, but when you experience a night-and-day effect like that, why mess with success?
Great video, thanks for the information, but let's not kid ourselves about eating a healthy diet to get minerals. Our food is so depleted of minerals because the soil is depleted of nutrients that is almost impossible to get enough through our food.
If you have raised BP and/or palpitations then Mag Taurate may help. Night and day for me. I also add 1 gram taurine as well. I've tried almost all other forms as well. Still do take glycinate and threonate as well ...help with sleep but did not solve the palpitations.
I found this very interesting, I use Magnesium Glycinate as I have Fibromyalgia, since using it I’ve had less problems with brain fog and suffered less with anxiety. The only thing that I wondered is how much of it do you actually need?
Hi Darrell, thanks for sharing your experience! It's awesome to hear that Magnesium Glycinate has been beneficial for your symptoms. Magnesium glycinate is a top-notch form of magnesium. As for the daily dosage, based on my research, most folks aim for around 300-400mg per day. Have a great day!
@@neurogalmd thanks for the advice, I was having a bit less than that so I might try that dose to see if it’s better. I buy a good quality chelated Magnesium Glycinate, first try wasn’t very good it wasn’t correctly advertised as it was a mix containing MgO, it didn’t work at all for me.
@@arlenebayron2448 my GP said it was ok for me to have 300mg as my blood pressure is slightly high, it’s helping a lot especially in the evening, I do get better sleep taking it later in the day than I was and don’t doze so much during the day!
Thanks for a short cap on this form of Magnesium, I have not heard of it before, would'nt it be just as fine to take bisglynate and seperately take taurine?
Thanks Doc for this information I’m gonna go head and make myself the lab rat and try magnesium taurinate and see if it curbs my anxiety it’s worth a try and if it does work even tho anecdotal I’ll be back and share my experience🙏🏽
I tried mg taurate for 2 months and noticed that my BP remains normal but i slso take losartan. So i'm really sure if mg taurate works. Maybe the combination do the trick
There has to be some natural way for magnesium to get into the brain without relying on some specific supplement form. I would guess that the body has some transport protein doing this. Not that I have seen anything about that! My guess is that if we just get magnesium into our body, it itself handles distributing it to where it's needed. The supplement companies attempts to show brain functions of their forms of magnesium supplement isn't very convincing! We need more of both magnesium and taurate. But taurate in powder is much cheaper. So, I supplement with that and any good form of magnesium, such as magnesiumglycinate. The mice or rat helthspan studies supplemented with heafty doses of taurine. Much more than you get from magnesiumtaurate.
Thank you for sharing your insightful thoughts! Your points are well-taken, especially your query about the physiological process of magnesium entering the brain. It's a fascinating topic, and I appreciate your interest in understanding it further. You've inspired me to create a video to delve into how magnesium traverses the blood-brain barrier and the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier. :) This should shed light on your excellent question. Thanks again for sparking this discussion!
Hi doctor. So is it the acetyl that, theoretically at least, makes a molecule cross the blood brain barrier more easily? Is it the same for instance for acetyl-leucine, and acetyl-carnitine?
So happy i found your video. I just bought a liquid form and was unsure about the magnesium taurate in it. This liquid form has 3 forms of magnesium and this was one of them 🩵

Hi Teri, thanks for sharing your insights! From what I know, magnesium threonate and magnesium L-threonate are indeed the same.
