@@di4085 I agree insurance and Medicare has changed the landscape of medicine as well as the overall health of America. I worked at a hospital for nearly 43 years. Each year Congress would determine some kind of reimbursement rate and we would be notified by Medicare. Last couple of years, we were notified of 10% decrease in reimbursement. Then administration would ask each department to cut 10% across the board in employee hours, supplies, etc but increase patient census by 10%. So we frantically learned to adapt to do more with less. So you are right, doctors shouldn’t shoulder all the blame. Administration looks at inputs/outputs and determine “X”amount of patients scheduled each hour (in their eyes hopefully a well rounded mix of commercially insured patients, Medicare, self-insured, and non insured patients). This schedule hopefully pays all the bills including everyone’s salary from door greeters to 6 figure administrators. Then to add to the stress factor if a doctor decides he needs to spend more time with a particular patient and makes others wait, and oh no😱 someone writes a negative review, doctor receives an inquiring email from administration. Some doctors do choose to have more control of this knee-jerk-chain…and try to maintain their income status by forgoing the hierarchy and do a “concierge” service. I’ve seen some opt of Medicare, and actually seen some go back to house calls(even go to work place. But these individuals are far and few between. And the rat race continues…. Sorry for the novel.

nowhere else have I experienced a source of nutritional education that is as pragmatic, consistent, unbiased, well researched, and as clearly communicated as here on Dr. Berg's channel. I make magnesium bicarbonate by adding 1 tsp of magnesium hydroxide to 800 ml of carbonated water. I add that to the water I drink throughout the day. I recently also Learned that by mixing Apple cider vinegar with magnesium hydroxide that magnesium acetate is formed. You can also mix magnesium hydroxide with lemon juice to make magnesium citrate.
I'm trying to understand the dosing of the magnesium bicarbonate you make with a soda stream. I've seen you could take two 8 ounce glasses, take two swigs a day and I've seen 1 ounce. I don't want to over do but I think it's the best form.
It does seem sensible to have the reaction forming magnesium compounds externally, otherwise the reaction with your stomach acid is partly neutralizing the digestive juices, and the gas from that reaction will bloat you. I guess you could just dissolve a magnesium oxide tablet in a mixture of carbonated water with a dash of lemon juice and ACV to provide a mixture of compounds more easily absorbed and tolerated.

You are the best and that was about me, I have a question for you in regard to magnesium - I am now taking 2 pills of 500mg Magnesium Bisglycinate chelate, what do you think about that type of magnesium? Doctor, when I took Magnesium Glycinate for the first time 5 months ago at one evening; the next morning, I had significant improvements. My focus, mental clarity, alertness...a significant decrease in mind wandering, stress, depression and anxiety. But the problem is, these improvements reduced quickly after. Even though I continued intaking this supplement for months. Now I don't experience any changes. Why is that?
Take a 2 week break. You won't be missing out on anything, since you say you are not experiencing results anyway. Then start again for a month, take another 2 weeks off, etc. Consider this strategy for all your supplements. Good luck!
I guess that is what you will get once the (cheap) magnesium oxide has had the antacid effect on stomach acid and reacted to become the chloride salt, so it may be the antacid effect that can cause digestive problems. Bioavailability appears to be the immediate absorption rather than how much total absorbed throughout the digestive tract - which seems to be adequate even for oxide.
Most people can’t handle oral magnesium and get the runs or stomach upset. I use magnesium chloride oil on my skin and have noticed the benefits so it does go into the blood because i noticed my bloodpressure dropped and my heart palpitations are almost as good as gone. There are also people that have done test with magnesium chloride foot soaks and there levels went up so i wish people stopped saying it does not get absorbed .

Dear Dr. Eric Berg, first sorry for my English. Some days ago I listened carefully to the interview with Professor Bruce Hollis, a pioneer in vitamin D. Now when talking about Magnesium, Prof. Hollis clearly stated, he takes 400mg of Magnesium OXYDE ! Overall I absolutely appreciate your profound help you give in the nutrition context. Please continue this way 👏 Cheers wr
Worst bioavailability, but still the most cost effective if you are just topping up, and don't have any digestive malabsorption issues. Even if you are deficient, your body will tent to grab some of the magnesium available whenever it can find it. You are even supposed to be able to absorb some through the skin when bathing with epsom salts or dead sea salt. Apparently bioavailability is tested on rapid absorption rather than total absorption, so some more gets absorbed after reacting with stomach acid, etc. A combination of different magnesium compounds is probably best to provide both high bioavailbility/absorption, and minimal digestive issues if higher doses are required. Just by making some mg available to your body, you are likely to be better off than most people.
Thank you Dr. Berg! I take magnesium glycinate along with D3, K2, A and E and have noticed a huge difference in the way I feel as well as my blood pressure. In fact, I was able to get off of my BP meds. Also note, that it is important to take D with fat since it is a fat soluble vitamin.

That doesn't mean that other similar channels don't have the ability to provide good information, it just means that, imho, Dr. Berg's is the one that can be relied on.
Dr. Berg, I’ve been following your channel for at least 3 years now, I am now 34 years old male from Burgas, Bulgaria, type 1 diabetic. I’ve implemented the knowledge I got from you and I’ve seen it works and I’ve even helped others with advices in regards of healthy keto and fasting. I even I tell my mom that you’re my doctor and she asks “do you speak to him?” And I reply “no but I feel him like my own personal doctor. “
By the way I am following your diet advice about the 7 healthiest foods, I’ve cut sugar off for the past few weeks, mu sugar levels are great, my insulin sensitivity is high, my sleep is a lot better , basically I feel great because of the information I got from you.

It may have been a placebo effect, or maybe the effect was caused by something else that you haven't repeated.
Take a 2 week break. You won't be missing out on anything, since you say you are not experiencing results anyway. Then start again for a month, take another 2 weeks off, etc. Consider this strategy for all your supplements. Good luck!
Thank God, I've just ordered magnesium glycinate, I ordered it about 6 hours ago!

Thanks for the break-down!! Where does Magnesium Chloride fall under?
I want to know too. That is what I put in my electrolyte mix
