    I went through a few hours of TH-cam looking for a video like yours! I'm exhausted, but grateful lol. I'm also petite and not an artist so I never considered the 12.9. I bought the 11 inch today, but left it boxed because after seeing the 12.9 inch in real life I couldn't stop thinking about it. Beautiful display and it actually didn't seem that large to me. So now I'm gonna return the 11 inch and take some more time to think about it. OOh I've typed a lot - sorry.
    GREAT VIDEO!

      Hi Miss Books - I'm so glad you found this video! Thats great you kept the box so you can return! I know what you mean, it also took me playing with the 11 inch to know 12.9 was meant for me (& allow me to not have any fomo lol) Hope you love your new ipad!

      @@anurag-kz7df I’ve heard that the 12.9” is not heavy to carry, but uncomfortable. I do not have the 12.9” just yet, but I do plan on buying it.
      If you do things like play games, read, watch movies and videos, and you need to have that bigger space, get the 12.9”. If portability matters and you want to have a tablet that is much easier to carry, I suggest the iPad Air 5th generation. If you want to go for a pro version and care about portability, then I suggest getting the iPad Pro 11”.
      If you do not care about all kinds of specifics when it comes to technology, I suggest you get the iPad Air 5th generation or the iPad Pro 11”. But, I suggest you get the iPad Air 5th Generation if budget is a thing for you.

    Just got mine in the mail today. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U The corners of the box was a little smashed but I think that’s more of the shipping’s fault. iPad was in perfect condition though. I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.

    Thank you so much for your video. For a while, I was sure to get the 11-inch iPad Pro because I already have a laptop and an iPhone. But you have a point about wanting to stay away from laptop which I also use for work. 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be helpful to set the boundary between work and my personal stuff like note-taking for school, tracking my investments, consuming media, other productive things.
    I need to go to the store and try it for myself. But thank you. Your video is helpful. ✨
    Btw, I’m also petite and have small hands. Really relatable 😂

      @EggsandPotatoe  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Aubrey!🙂Yes the 12.9 is such a good change from the laptop, while still allowing you to be super productive on it! Most of my best ideas and planning happens on the 12.9 first, then I transfer to the laptop when I'm ready to execute on the ideas/plans (usually they are things like documents, slides, heavy video editing, etc.).
      But ipad wins for being the 'Fun' device, as when i hold it I feel joy (meanwhile opening my work laptop makes me feel drain lol).
      Yayy petite besties! (im thinking about doing a review on the Apple Watch Ultra - which would be hugeee looking for people like us lol)

    The only problem with the 12’9 inch iPad is that it has this annoying blooming effect, caused by the MiniLed screen. The 11 inch doesn’t have this problem, because it has a LCD screen. But the redesigned iPad Pros 2024 with a 11 inch and 13 inch display who will be released on March would fix the blooming issue. I am going to trade in my iPad Pro 11 inch for the 13 inch iPad Pro.

    I have both version of the ipad, and for those who still cant make the decision which one to go, let me ease the pain for you.
    I know the narrative is that: if you use handheld, you go for the 11, if you mostly use as a laptop you should go for the 12.9
    But that’s not the answer we were looking for, a lot of people would like to have both options: be able to work comfortably when sitting at the table also mobility
    The right choice will be the 11”
    Trust me, the 12.9” felling is not right when you are carrying around, it can be a little awkward to be honest.
    When i pulled out the ipad, it drawed unwanted attention cause it’s too big.
    The 11 is not so small to work with, i barely notice any lack of space while working with it. And that’s come from a guy who make a living by designing stuff.
    If you have more money to spend, please invest in storage and tools to help your workflow. Do not go for the 12.9

    I will buy an ipad pro 12.9, but I have concerns about carrying it, is it too challenging when commuting to school? I'm a university student too, I'm stuck with 11 inc, but 12.9 is a must for me as I will do more digital design and drawings. And do you think 128gb will be enough?

    • @hyrise76
      @hyrise76 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The storage really depends on what you will use your iPad for. But considering the relative price of the 256Gb upgrade to the price of the 12.9 iPad, it might be worth it to upgrade. Keep in mind that this iPad is compatible with external hard drives if you do opt for the 128Gb.

    • @EggsandPotatoe

      good question! even though 12.9 is not most portable, i usually carry it around without a case if i’m in doors (&in my bag if outdoors) so it is not too heavy for me. it depends what is more important for you, portability or use 🙃 since i don’t walk around with my ipad too much and i want to get more done, 12.9 was an easy winner for me. and 128gb is working well for me since most of my digital notes are saved in the cloud. but if you plan on saving lots on your device the next gb up doesn’t hurt too 😄 battery life is quite good, i usually do charge it the morning cuz i use the ipad to watch youtube at night to fall sleep so i use up at least half battery each day

      Hi @aliciapark6241 sure happy to help! For carrying the 12.9, I usually take it with me via my backpack where I put the ipad and my laptop, pretty easier to carry around. When I walk around, since i dont put a case on my ipad, it is very light and easy to carry around for me (but i would be extra careful if I am walking on hard floors). I think it can bend with lots of force, but not via natural use. Mine has not bend, however, i do have small dents by dropping and hitting objects in my room like chair legs, etc. Writing with my hand resting on screen has not bothered me. and for paper size, I think for the notes app you use, you can choose what type of 'paper size' you want, but i haven't compare the screen to real paper yet, but you can prob find out by looking up the measurement online. hope this helps!

As much as I would love to take my ipad 12.9 to the office to take notes, I don't because I don't feel safe having an ipad on me while on public transit for both safety and I might crack it by bumping it to places (I don't use a case lol).

    Would you recommend 128gb or 256gb for the iPad Pro 12.9 M2?

      Hi Kiki, depends how much you use storage on the ipad. For me, it has been good with the 128gb since I don't take too many photos or videos on the ipad. When I do edit videos on my ipad or take lots of notes, i have been good with the 128gb since it still gave me enough storage to easily sync files across devices & take bunch of notes without worrying space. But if you plan on downloading lots of files or saving your work on the ipad, then more gb could be better so you don't have to mange storage too often.

    Do you think the 12.9” is too big to carry on the go? Portability is one of the reasons I was leaning towards the 11”. I do feel the same of wanting to get off my phone since its screen is too small for my productivity needs.
    Update: Ended up getting the 12.9"! I was able to get a really good deal on it open box at BB when it went on sale for $899. The 11" was available at a bit cheaper price compared to my open box so I ended up deciding that the 12.9" was more of value (bigger screen & miniled). I thought the 12.9" was big at first but I eventually got used to it and now see other iPads being too small, especially for media consumption. Still though, if it wasn't at a similar price, I probably would've picked the 11"

      it isnt that much bigger might aswell get the 12.9. for school just buy laptop. theres a lot of limitations and incompatibility issues. if u plan to do digital notes then yeah go get it but you would still need to use a computer since ipad can only so much for real school and work jobs. ipad and tablets arent meant to replace laptops esp ipads pros. if your on tight budget get a laptop it would serve you well for school. if you have a laptop then buy ipad for your leisure

      hi Kyeori - For the 12.9 - I purposely do not put a case on it so it is much lighter to hold and I feel it is still quite potable like the 11". But when you want to hold on to it for a long time without putting it on a table or leaning it against something, then yea it can get a bit heavy after a while (unlike the 11" which is still light enough to hold without leaning it on anything) Hope this helps!

      @DeymSun Well said and I totally agree! Ipad is nice but it still doesn't replace the laptop because of the limitations that the iPad has

    Is the 12.9 inch still comfortable to hold and move around?

    • @EggsandPotatoe
      @EggsandPotatoe  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Jason - I still do not use a case on my 12.9 til this day lol so for me it is pretty light and easy to carry around the house. But 12.9 overall is not the most comfortable to hold if you plan on using it while holding it. I usually put it down on a table or on my ikea stand whenever I use around the home
