  • A remote amplifier level controller is used to adjust an amplifier's power level, stereo, equalizer or crossover volume form the dashboard or other remote locations. It adds sub-woofer level controls or balances a multiple amplifier installation. Fine tunes the volume of any RCA line level signal you wish to control. This would mainly be used for a subwoofer amp however you can use it to control anything that gets signal with an RCA cable.
    Products used:
    PRV DSP 2.4X same as 2.8x
    PRV SQ11000X amplifier
    Kenwood radio
    Timpano Audio RCA cables
    PAC LC-1 remote amplifier level controller

      If you can detail the settings for mids, highs, and lows on the prv processor, like what your recommendations are and how to dial them in would be awesome.

      @@TheRepos296 there is no one size fits all answer for this. There are too many variables such as speaker type, what other components are in the system, hour much power is on each component and the application.

    Hey, great video. Just that I was looking for. However, I have one question. Would that be too long of a signal run going from the DSP all the way up to the front of the car, then back to the amp? Would there be any signal loss from that long of a run?

    • @12voltfever
      @12voltfever  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, you can make super long runs with RCA. First off, without a DSP, you have to run an rca to the back anyways. The DSP itself acts as a preamp, so the signal coming out of it is pretty strong.

    Thanks for all the videos explaining these DSPs it's helped me a bunch. I'm curious though because my bass amp only has a single RCA input and my DSP will only run a single RCA output. Do I need a y splitter for the bass knob? I can't find many with only one RCA input / output. Thanks in advance

    I cannot find anywhere on the internet explaining how to hook a bass knob up to 2 bridged channels. I have a 4 channel amp and a 4 channel LOC. The 2 rear channels are bridged for a sub. The other 2 control left and right of front/rear door speakers.
    The bridge works by connecting the positive of the sub to the positive of one channel, and sub negative to the other channels negative.
    If its using both channels then where does the knob go?
    Ive been searching for hours. Please help

    • @12voltfever
      @12voltfever  ปีที่แล้ว

      The amp gain can be set as normal. Then use the knob at your discretion. You can also set the amp gain with the knob in the maximum position to avoid over driving the amplifier signal.

    • @12voltfever
      @12voltfever  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Maybe the amplifier is not powerful enough for those subwoofers. Clipping means you are hitting distortion point of the amplifier and its giving all its got. Could also be your enclosure is not allowing the subs to perform properly, forcing the amplifier more.

    Is there a way that using this DSP I can still control my bass level through my radio? I see that it does not have input channel for sub from the radio so I’m assuming that it cannot therefore I would have to use a base knob. Is that correct?
