Any plans on developing a Bluetooth version of a bass knob? Not only would that make mounting a breeze, but eliminate mounting restrictions and allow for wireless control outside the vehicle.
I’ve always used the factory one, I think it’s a must to have a bass knob especially if your running more power then you need
Correct can't just slap all the time. 1200rms 1ohm is fun but not all the time.

I agree!! Different songs on my system I turn it up or down so I only run with a bass knob
Those Amphenol RCA's on the Bass knob are actually the best quality. I use the male version to build my own RCA's all the time. They're also expensive
I think the red wire would be remote it and yellow remote out and black ground because the bassknob has a on and off switch. Unless the red is constant powered and inside the knob somehow cuts the remote power off.
I just purchased the JP23 and it has the best Bass Knob in the game. 👍

I use the one that came with my Rockford Fosgate prime 1200.1d. I removed it from the case and built a custom panel that houses the knob as well as my voltmeter in the ashtray in my truck.

I use the clarion equalizer for my bass knob plus adjusting mids an highs
Factory, because I want the clip light up front because making sure my gear is running clean is more important than looking cool to me. :-)

Set the gain correctly and u shouldnt ever clip. Bassknob maxed out when u scope it or dd it
I use the factory knob. Just because it was easy and I paid for it so I'm might as well use it.

I use the acr3 with audio controls dm608 for a bass knob. Easier way to control multiple amps mids amps highs amps and of course bass amps. Has 4 settings only unfortunately but best believe I use all 4 depending on if it's SQ mode or go deaf spl mode. Works for me anyway

By any chance they make dual bass knobs in the metal? I run dual bass knob and that would look bad ass for my set up. If not when are they coming out with dual?

I used a Slam Panda knob. Lasted almost a year. Then got a spl cartel knob, and it's starting to go out after 9 months. Idk if these aren't good for daily use or what but I've spent almost $400 in bass knobs🤦♂️
I like to use aftermarket one because it feels nice to have a bigger and better feel to it. I use an SPL Cartel knob

Been using the factory knobs in my builds up to this point. But now that I'm looking to run multiple amps using an RCA splitter it just makes more sense to use 1 really good RCA bass knob to control all 3 amps at once instead of running and installing 3 separate wires and factory knobs then struggling to shut the bass down while dealing with the popo
2. Alot of the factory bass knob just control bass boost instead of gain, which is a big no no. And also if u have rca outputs on the amps u can daisy chain them together instead of using splitters. But if you have to use splitter i suggest a rca distro box insread of y-splitter.
Factory JP23. Very good knob but the light is extremely bright. You should try and install a dimmer on the next version.
I have the green one and my rca fall out easily and they are the turn locking one's
prob go for the jp63 in the build I'm working on possibly the 83 depends on specs when they do come in. will go nicely next to the jp234

I have a question I don't know if you know the answer but, do manufacturers swap location of the cat cables to stop other cat5 five or 7 knobs from being compatible that is the only thing I could think for them not to work. The cables are standardized so the only thing that would stop them from working is the locations of the wires when they are pressed I would assume.

I use a potentiometer from an electronic supply store, wired rca’s into it and hid it in the back of my console. I like everything to look factory and not advertise a system in my ride. Those knobs look cool, but too big and bulky for me, also my car has a voltmeter so I’m good.

I have a jp43. I have an RCA bass knob from droppin Hertz that I was gonna use. It's been laying around for a while. Wasn't sure how it would work with the Bluetooth knob. Should I stay away from that RCA knob with my jp43? Sorry if I misunderstood what u said in the video. Just making sure

Will the metal bass knob work with any amplifier? I'm guessing it will because it has the wires and everything and won't have to go through the rca
I've always heard it's a bass knob, earlier today someone said it was Gain control and now i don't know if i should bother with it. Is is actually a Gain remote? Sounds counter productive if that's actually what it is... why take the time to tune everything and then screw it up by playing with the gain. Please tell me dude was wrong. I trust JP more than random guy online, but yeah.

What he said. Gain on amp is max itll go. Knobs allows u to turn that power down not up
because in the route of it, that knob is actually physically acting as a volume knob, you've already tuned the amp to highest level and the knob is just lowering from there, that's why you can have you knob "only half way up" but there's people that think they know what they're talking about, but will say doing that off your amp itself is different, even if you've already figured out that clipping is a certain spot and anything below that isn't. this knob is like turning your gain down on your amp but when you turn it back up, it'll only raise to the point of where the gain on the amp itself is set at.
Does the 3d subwoofer bass knob give u the choice to shut off also or no. And if not then is should lol

I’d take after market if they have voltage and clipping on them my ds18 amps have two different indicators for clipping but not voltage 1 for amp other for subs but bass knob that came with has nothing just knob

Can I cut off the 3.5mm jacks on my knob? It came with a Loc it plugs into but I don’t have rca on my subs, onky speaker wire inputs so I can’t use the loc for the knob to then plug into, so I need to find a way to attach my controll knob some how, was thinking I could cut off the end of the knob which is a headphone plug 3.5mm standard plug. But then what would I wire the wires to,

Wouldn't this work on a Taramps HD3k MD3k Bass3k and up??? Because they do come with the clip power protect ect led lights but no gain / bass control... But the amp is sending the information to that light.. and a cat 5 should fit... But if the knob won't work for em.. do you carry the Sundown Zv5 woofer knob?? Like this one??? I like those it looks cool lol
I use the d4s bass nob. It's the best in the game. What other one has a temp sensor on it? And clip light? And volt meter?

can you leave the Cat 5 Base knob still plugged in so you can see your clip light and temperature

Only way I’d switch to that little sub is if it had the options the JP23 knob has. The clip light and volt meter is too useful to give up.
What cord do I buy to plug nto my amp and the bass know.. the cord that has rca jacks

A wireless would be Kool. But you have a line driver. I have always used the line driver, cross overs so I can control all of it

how do you Tune With a Bass knob like that? same as usual? Find max volume of regular speakers....Turn Gain on amp down... Turn Bass Knob All the way Up.... then turn the Gain on the amp up untill you start to hear Clipping...then back it off slightly?

How is that cab45? Been looking into buying one for awhile now. I am on the fence between cab45 and the Taramps8k or maybe 12k.

They are in a completely different class then those taramps so idk what to tell ya especially if you're looking at amps that much bigger then the cab 45.
I bought a sky high bass knob and it crapped out in less than 6 months. I’m gonna have to switch to d4s metal knob.
No shit canned the the one that came with the salt 4 sundown because it is so bright. I am trying to figure out a way to mount just a clip light by itself on the dash so I can have that, but use the RCA style with a potentiometer on it would be nice to have the voltmeter as well, but the factory ones no aftermarket yes

Now it would be nice to see the subwoofer design in metal instead of plastic.. and it would be cool to have a few diff woofer designs like NSv4 and team and a X and Z and SA and like a Skar VXf and SA n X 8" looking one. Those would be cool because the woofer style knob would match the subs / Sub you got... And also maybe a knob that looks like amps would be awesome

Jp my profab has come apart at the seams and I was told to put screws into a 600 plus box by your employees not a happy camper. I'm running 4 q class 12in d2's and in the video it was stated that u can use up to sundown u series subs. Whats going on buddy.
