    Dude you blew my mind im ordering me a 2 Eqs i just pulled out ALL of my RF Amplifiers 14 in total with as of now 42 tweets mids center and larger midrange speakers and lastly subs . I drew all my wireing diagrams but now with the dual eqs back at it ... let me say i can't wipe the smile off my face knowing that I can use all my equipment. Thanks for your insight because I would have figured it out but glad you did for my sanity.

    Very good explanation!!! Couple of issues I'm having though with DSPs and Epicenters/bass processors. I have a Stetson Bluetooth processor that I'm considering installing before my preamps to clean up the sound from the head unit before any further amplification. I'll have 4 channels of selectable A, B and AB outputs (or combined as 2 since 1 output has to be split to connect an amp from one output. Meaning 1&2 would be a left and right if used straight). Using it this way I could tune channel 1 however I like and run it to the preamp let's say on the right input, #2 however would be on the left input both controlled by the preamp fader as a mids and highs preamp. Channels 3 and 4 would go to the inputs of the second preamp for midbass/midrange and bass. I think this would increase my tuning capabilities. I also think DSPs have the same features as Epicenters. Select the frequency in the parametric EQ (sweep), adjust it's Q (wide), boost or cut, adjust gain, etc. with tons of more tuning options. The preamps I use have subsonic filters from 30-300hz.

    I split the Right and Left of the front and back EQ outputs going to my DSP inputs so that I can use the fader on the EQ as balance. Then I set up the eq on the DSP the way I want it with the analog EQ set at flat. And now I can use the analog EQ to fine tune how the DSP is set. AND I'm using using the EQ as my bassknob. Good stuff. Thanks for your help bro.

    • @12voltfever
      @12voltfever  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It may not make sense on the internet, but for overpowered competition systems it makes a lot of sense in the heat of battle when you need to boost or cut frequencies or lower/raise the signal on particular amplifiers on the fly. Not every system is 100% pure sound quality setup.
