Good stuff! I made a similar video about 5 different shoes recently because I also didn't find good reviews about non-distance running shoes for track training.
Bro thank you!! haha oml this video is by far one of the best review videos i've seen... Straight to the point. I bought the supercomp from New Balance when it first came out which is also a solid replacement for Spikes... I used it heavily for drills and indoor footy which eventually led to the back heel caving in.. But I am looking forward to giving the ascis a proper go 💪🏽
Absolute Quality from the lads. 👌 My drills standing and in motion have never been sharper. I am able to find my stride quite quickly & fly past the finish line in my tempos (250m,150m,100m) more often that not. 🙂10/10 #Striking #Metaspeed #Asics @@jackhammered_
Hello. Do you have a recommendation for an Asics shoe model great for shuttle runs/beep test. Short bursts of speed and quick turns on an outdoor track. Thank you!
love the video, ive been kicking myself to find the best shoe after butchering my Pegasus 40 shoes being a 400m sprinter. im looking at availability in my size and im on a deadline to get a new pair quick as i have nationals next week, would getting the Asics Metaspeed Sky+ shoes be just as good or the same ? im just struggling to find the ones you recommend in my size
I'd recommend the edge plus. It has a lower stack height and feels a bit closer to the ground. Sky plus is probably a bit too high and cushy for sprinting and drills in my opinion.
Hi thank you for the review it’s really useful, I’m a 100m runner.Do you think it’s best for me get the asics metaspeed plus or the asics magic speed 2’s?
Hi sorry for the delay. the new magic speed 3 I have a like more than the metaspeed edge 2 that I previously had. I would personally go magic speed 3 both from a cost and practical use point of view
Sorry for the delay ! Depends on the event, waffles would be better as they have more grip and can be good for field events etc. The shoes might be better if she is just running though.
this is just very general advice…. Sprinters should NEVER train in carbon plated trainers, and the only plated shoes they need are their spikes. A nike peg type of shoe is perfect.

Thanks for the feedback mate! Yeah completely agree, there's next to nothing out there for the sprinters or jumpers!

Keen to hear how you go with the Asics !

Never mind i relies that the sky is marathon shoe.
would you suggest the adidas takumi Sen 10 or the magic speed 3?
My personal preference would be the magic speed 3
which do you recommend between sky plus and edge plus for sprint workouts?

My personal choice would be to go for the magic speed 3’s. They have a full carbon plate
@@jackhammered_ alright thank you that’s really helpful!
@@kamarmccurdy-batik98no carbon plate is only good for races not training, its bad for your feet and will weaken your foot muscles.😢
You mean deviate nitro elite? Or deviate nitro 2?
Btw Did you try vaporfly or streakfly?
Nitro elite.
I haven't been able to try the vapor or streakfly yet. I would definitely like to !
Yo man what’s up could u checkout the adidas takumi sens?
I've actually wanted to try these out ! I'll try to get a pair and do one, thanks for your comment !
Will the shoes promote a heel strike?
You’ll still get a heel strike because they are running shoes. However the carbon fibre plate helps you stay up on the forefoot
@@jackhammered_ Thanks! My daughter, 10, is really wanting to get into track and I have been watching your videos.
i have a race on our school 50m and 100m sprint on a grass what rubber shoe can you suggest for me thanks
I reckon go for Asics magic speed 3 as a jogger. It's different if you want a spike
my tempo is getting destroyed by me, getting the asics magic speed next
I think it should definitely last a bit longer than the tempos! Will be good to hear what you think 🙌
My tempos couldn’t handle my power bc the broke in like 3 weeks
@@bob-ol1ec not surprised to hear that ! What shoes did you get next ?
@@jackhammered_ I’m just wearing basic ASICS now

Can I ask are these better then the Nike waffle shoe for my daughter she is 9 and to young for spikes

nike streakfly best sprint shoe
You don’t find them too soft ?
That's interesting ! I haven't personally tried those ones yet.
Do they have a carbon plate?
*promo sm* 😭
Are you saying it’s a promo ? Hardly!
