@@jeff09_ exactly what im saying. The same for vaporflys. I heel strike so i honestly don't feel the plate that much but the bounce from the foam is crazy
Speaking of chonkers, I have like 75 miles in the Saucony Endorphin Shift 3 and it's incredible imo. Still super stable but a much softer ride than the previous 2 iterations of the shoe
Hey bro I was very lucky to find a pair of alphafly half a year ago with a crazy price of 100, I LOVED every run in it, it's definitely a PURE road shoe, on the roads they take you to the mooon! But unfortunately... During my XC season tryout they popped because of a very little spiky plant on the ground/trial. So if you are going to use them in the future PLSSS don't take them to any other surface expect for raod :)! (Kipchoge broke the world record in them for a reason, feel like more bounce and fun than vapors, but not as easy control. And your ankles definitely not gonna like them. ;)
I'm far from an elite runner. I love Hoka trail shoes, the Speedgoat is my favorite line of shoes probably ever and I foresee myself wearing those as long as they make them. I dont like Hoka road shoes though because of the durability, I bought a pair of Bondi 8's and I was shocked by how quickly they wore out. Currently I use Asics for my road shoes but I love Hoka's trail shoes.
Hi Spencer, great video! Switching to barefoot shoes was a game-changer for me. They let my feet move naturally, which helped improve my posture and balance. Over time, I noticed my feet and legs getting stronger too. I wear Hykes Escapes, and they’re comfortable, minimalist, and durable. It’s like getting back to the way our feet are supposed to work. What do you think about barefoot shoes?
Curious, why did you switch from brooks adrenaline to glycerin because I also use stability shoes as my trainers and am currently using brooks adrenaline 22. They are kinda stiff so I’m probably not gonna use them again after these ones go off
I like the Adidas Ambition as a training spike. They are quite comfortable, but still fast (as a decathlete I can do 1000m reps and also sprints in them) and they dont have a plate, so I don't put too much stress on my achilles tendon in training
Are they bouncy and not as stiff as the Clifton in terms of cushion? Might consider them for a new trainer since I got the 1080 12s recently and it’s not doing me good.
I feel like they're too expensive to use for long runs bc they wear out very quickly compared to trainers so I only use supershoes for races or the occasional workout
Dragonfly actually doesn’t have a carbon plate, it’s a Pebax plate. The foam is what makes it so op
🤓
@@jeff09_pebax plate provides stability needed at high speed not really efficient and loading of carbon plated

@@TriangleEmpire-sc2yehe’s just saying he heel strikes so you don’t feel the plate as much but for me I do feel it since I am a forefoot striker
I love the croc reference. Spencer is the only guy crazy enough to run a 4:18 mile in them, and then call them OP.
Crazy how brooks allowed a Nike shoe. Shows how crazy Nike is
When he was like "and now for the best shoe" I was expecting a next level supershoe... he said crocks... not sure how to react.
Put ‘em in sport mode and you will

Kipchoge ran 12:52 in the Miler spike that looked like the version you're holding. His didn't have the air bag up front or new age foam.

Really liked this kind of video you should do more shoe reviews too!!!
I am wearing Hykes Ultra Sport and lightest shoes I have owned and wide toe box so they feel great.

Hahaha, puncturing your shoe. Modernity.
I have an idea- crocs spikes
Best idea ever on Spence’s channel: 100.
Loved the vid!

I personally suggest the Asics Gel Nimbus 25 or 26's. I absolutely love these shoes
The Victories have a carbon plate but the Drag’s do not

What do you think about barefoot shoes?
glad I saw your channel. im a stability shoe person too.
Dragonflies don't have carbon in them, just full length PEBAX.
thats what I'm saying
I’m excited to try the new Brooks Ghost Max
The crocs caught me off guard😂😂😂😂
I’m a 2:01 800m runner and I’m looking for some Nike spikes for my senior season. Does anyone have any recommendations?
It depends on your budget. If you're willing to pay a lot of money then zoom victories are good.
You should try the ON spikes
Do you prefer them over dragonfly for all distances
@@TA-rk3sv for 800 meters and above i do

Different cushion
He said he is using the glycerin GTS, which is the stability version of the Glycerin
Have you tried adidas?

how many shoes should a highschool distance runner have? 1 pair of trainers, 1 pair of flats for cross country, and 1 pair of track spikes?
I’ve used the arahi 4 years running and it comes apart in that same spot every time but they are so comfy and stable

@@DilIytubeive never had the clifton but the arahi become pretty flexible once you break them in
My Hoka split in the same place - In particlualr the Challenger (which I loved) but I split on the inside (or outside)
Love the Glycerin
I'm not able to find the bike next percent 2 where would I find them
With regards to spikes, what are your thoughts on the Hyperion Elite LD and Hyperion Elite MD?
C’mon, Crocs! Let’s Gooooo!
The Dragonfly does NOT have a carbon plate in it
You’re correct but it does have a plate built into it for cushion and just overall spring.
Try the New Balance Vongo V6. Big trust
Bruh my Mach 6’s be tearing up fully
The alphaflys are amazing - would highly recommend for long runs. Honestly it feels like cheating wearing them lol

what size shoe are you? i have a pair of alphafly 2's with abt 35 miles on em that i dont like. if theyre your size we can sort something out?
Ayo im size 13/14
size 9.5 here
Dragon fly aren't carbon plated
Hey, anyone here mind to help?
I would to know,am im allowed to run with distance spikes casually like for daily running on track?
Have you tried Newton Running shoes? Company is based out of Colorado. Good for speed workouts on the track.
the tears in the side happened to my arahis too🙁
