Jenny , you are the only person I know that sees things the way I do. I'm VERY anglely challenged and I think everytime you describe yourself you are describing me. That makes me a happy camper because I learn sooo much from you. Love you so much my sweet friend !♥️♥️♥️🤗
Cutting all four sides with a rotary cutter was a challenge for me. I ended up marking around the Twister Tool with a pen, then I cut them out by hand. Actually kind of relaxing and old school. It all went together beautifully.
Jenny, You are a Jewel and I love your videos.. Your so straight forward and relaxed.. Just the best teacher for these quilts you try.. I have been a fan of yours for a long time.. God bless you , Keep on Sewing.. Thanks for all you do on TH-cam to help those who are interested in such an awesome hobby. Again, God bless you!
Jenny, I was so glad to see your "twister" tutorial!! I purchased the little & larger twister ruler at a quilt show about 2yrs ago. By the time I got home and wanted to use it, I had forgotten how to do it!! I was also not aware of the "Twister" books. Now I know. Thank You for the help....Norma
Hi Jenny, I don't know how I ever managed without you. I have been patch working and quilting for a long time, but every time I watch one of your tutorials I am inspired, to make another quilt. I have bought the Twister tools and I am looking forward to making this quilt pattern. Best wishes from Queensland Australia
Great tutorial. Imade a quilt years ago with my rulers, and just took it out again to make another, but I had to watch a tutorial before getting into it again. It’s all come back to me, thanks to Jenny, thank you. I took a pic of your pattern for this project and I will try it for Christmas. Sooo nice.
Jenny, you have done it again! I purchased the larger twister ruler a year ago but haven't used it yet. Your demonstration has given me the courage to attempt a twister quilt this next year. You are THE best!
Cathy Wahl I just love all your tutorals. I have learned so much from your demonstrations. Keep them coming. I am a self made quilter and your tutoral have given me so much confidence. Thanks so much for you help. I have so many of your tutorals in my on my computer in my "favorites".
never would have attempted this. saw in quilt shops, would be drawn to the pattern, but thought never would understand. but watching you hands on & just how simple your explaining it, its amazing. really enjoyed your tutorials. you have a very clear way of explaining, look forward to watching you many times over.thank you so much
Thanks so much Jenny for doing a tutorial on this. I was watching for the first time today someone from the ruler company doing this but of course they don't tell you size blocks or border. It looked interesting but without more information I don't feel confident to just go sew up blocks and any ol' border. Then your video popped up next for that very ruler and pattern. So cool. I most assuredly will try this now thanks to you. You're a blessing.
I am so glad that you made this tutorial, Jenny!! Now, I am not afraid to use the twister template that I bought from you over a year ago!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Vicki
A friend of mine in our quilt quild bought the set of these. She made the heart & shamrock. I loved them so much I borrowed her tool & I am going to make the shamrock this week. I hope. Tutorials are great. Thank you. I'll try & remember to send a picture when complete.
Thanks Jenny! I have this tool in the two largest sizes and didn't even think about using the scrapes as the next size down. Also, you are right on cut and sew as you go is the best way not to get confused!
Wow! I have had this tool for over a year and when I finally decided to try to do one, I was lost. Thanks so much for the help, I have my squares on my design board and am sewing them, can't wait to do the twister part! Thanks SO much for the help! Sue Tyler
I was given a bag of fabric with the stipulation I use it for the cancer quilts. Your tutorials have inspired me for other tops I've made in the couple of months its taking me to use all of the fabric up. I've made variations of the Friendship Braid (using the binding tool), Double Slice Layer Cake, Disappearing 4-Patch, Irish Chain and two version of foundation piecing. In addition, I've sung your praises to and shared your links with dozen's of people. Thank you from all of us!
Hi Jenny, You are amazing and such a genius. I love your tutorials and not afraid to try them out. Even though you are such a genius, I still love your simplicity. Christine.
I was happy to see a tutorial on this tool. I have made 2 of the twister hearts. One using 3 1/2" squares and one using the charms. I find it very fun and look forward to doing the mini using 2 1/2" squares and one with the layer cakes. I really enjoy your tutorials. ANd I am a beginner quilter.....
I purchased the large and the small twister blocks last year and have never used them. I couldn't understand the concept of it. You made it look so easy and now I can't wait to use them. Beautiful ideas you showed.
Hi Jenny, Wow how sweet that tool is! Thank you so much for another fabulous tutorial. I'm very very beginning making blocks and hope to one day make a complete quilt. For now, I'm making a bunch of different blocks using many of your tutorials. Thank you for your inspiration! Cyber Hugs, Mary Ann
Thank you Jenny! I would have never figured this out! I am new to this and it helps to have you show me step by step. Maybe someday soon I can tackle this one. Beautiful, simply beautiful!
I'm going to have to watch this a few more times. Love how they turn out but don't understand how it gets there but I'm new at quilting but this one intrigues me🤪
Oh my goodness. I bought one of these 5 months ago, read the directions and gave up. Tried looking for a video on your channel and didn't look far enough apparently. Thank you for inspiring me again!
Thank you - I thought that might be it, but wasn't sure - also thought about using them to make piano keys, but so would like to keep with the twister theme -- she picked out a mottled gray flannel to put on the back - this thing is GROWING!!!!! It will easily measure 112 x 112 by the time I am finished!
Now that the school year is over I have time to try this! Thank you so much for making it easy for ME to understand! I have problems with "angley" things too. :) I love your tutorials. They are my go-to for any sewing need.
I ran across this quite by accident ... love the idea. Saw another one done in a blended/ombre (& Stonehenge Quartz) material and another in shades of the same color ... all very beautiful. A pattern I must try ... thank-you for making it easy! Been a long time ... please do another tutorial on this. Please & Thank-you!
I ordered the Lil Twister off of your website. I LOVE it! I made a mug rug using batiks as my first project. It turned out so nice! I can't wait to start my next project!
Hi Jenny.... I very love all about your tutorial Quilt, you make it's very easy. Thank you so much for making it easy for me to understand. I'll always waiting for your new tutorial project.Love you.... jenny.... :)
I made several trivet covers (using a 6 inch ceramic tile inside). The first time I went to cut out the fabric with the twister tool, I could not visualize how this worked. But it does work and it is adorable! The key is to use fabrics that have a fair amount of contrast.
Just a couple tips to add: (I took a class here locally on the twister tool 2 weeks ago). If you cut on the edge of a counter top or end of your ironing board (I have a wide board),and of course while using your rotary mat... there isn't all the awkward twisting of the wrist/rotary cutter - you just walk around the edge. Also, if you use a 28mm cutter rather than a larger one while doing the charm size or smaller, the cutting is more precise. It's a fun project! Thanks for the tutorial Jenny!
Thanks, Jenny, I am just like you about the angles! And i surely couldn't figure out how "the twister" worked. The witch's hat could be a cute Santa hat with red, white and green!
I know you wrote this 8 years ago, but just wanted to say, that pattern is in the quilt she mentioned and showed us, called Let’s Twist by Country Schoolhouse Designs. There are quite a few ideas in that booklet.
very neat , i'm getting ready to try one, Thanks Jenny for all your easy tutiorals . I've learned a lot from you , and I love your stores , was down there last summer
The Twister tool is more fun than sex (OK, that is a BIT of an exaggeration). LOL I have it in two sizes (5 inch and 3.5 inch) and have several placemats in progress. As several commenters noted, it doesn't seem to make sense until -- Click! -- you actually use it. I love the videos because Jenny obviously is having so much fun -- and the instructions are so practical and down to earth. Keep up the good work! And sew on.
Thanks, Jenny, we made a twister at our guild and they really came out great, but I like to SEE how it is made first. My mind works like yours, can't do angles!
wow it looks so easy... never quilted before but I would love to try and this looks easy to me, even with the row by row cutting. Thank you, it's very well explained. I'll try to do it when I gather the tools and finish a few projects I'm working on... that I got from your other videos btw!
Muito obrigada Jenny pelas suas aulas, mesmo não entendendo o ingles eu consegui fazer alguns dos trabalhos, um abraço. Monica - Chapecó/Santa Catarina/Brasil.
Thanks for the tut i've wanted to try this tool but was a little intimidated by it it did not make sense in my mind i'm left handed like you Jenny maybe thats what it is it just confused me for some strange reason but this makes it look like it is easy so i will have to try it now cause i love how it looks when finished and i printed off the breast cancer pattern but was not sure how to go about it but this will help i'm sure thanks again for a great tutorial.
Just adore you Jenny ~ you are so funny. I have the problem you have with not seeing the angly parts of the quilt. I put mine in order as I cut my pieces out too!
Jenny thank you for the tut for doing this I never heard of the twister tool lol I think i might have to buy 1 and try this. And I love all the stuff you make :)
Love this tutorial Jenny! Could you please do one on using the left over material to make the next size down. Would like to see how that is done. Thanks
I did one debaeremaeker.blogspot.com/2012/03/my-purple-heart.html I was the same way- it seems so odd to make a quilt then cut it up and re sew it again! it does make a cute quilt though :)

A friend used the twister tool and made a halloweeen quilt with a twister pumpkin. Just adorable. Great tute as usual!

As always I appreciate the cute ideas. Thanks
I’m the same way, I am challenged when it comes to keeping stuff in order. I completely understand.
I'd love to see a tutorial on the larger quilt behind Jenny.

I did one debaeremaeker.blogspot.com/2012/03/my-purple-heart.html
I was the same way- it seems so odd to make a quilt then cut it up and re sew it again!
it does make a cute quilt though :)
Debbie DeBaeremaeker that quilt is adorable, I too love the greens and purples! ;)
thanks Janace White :D
