  • I load up the AJP PR7 and head up to the South West NSW station country and get lost!
    Things don't all go to plan and I may sacrifice my sleeping bag to the gods of ADV but I get to see some country I have wanted to see for a long time.

    Hi Steve. Thanks for sharing this part of the country with us. I’m taking a trip up that way in August and you have given me a preview of what vastness awaits. Keep up the the good work inspiring adv riding and going to the locations less well known!

    What a brilliant trip, great to see it on the map. You wouldn't believe it could be that flat. Great to see the old sheering sheds, you're right, 50degrees celsius must have been murder, tough men back then.

    Great country out there. Did a similar trip back in May. Stopped at the same cafe in Menindee for a egg, bacon roll and coffee also.

    So jealous, what a fantastic country you live in... UK England is really poor for off road trails 😢👍

      Hi Anthony, yeah in particular in Victoria we have the high country mountains, deserts and plains all in one state. But love going North in the winter which is where I'm heading now. I certainly don't take it for granted

      Yeah it would have done 95% really nicely but.....a couple of spots got a bit tricky and probably would have turned around. Long way from nowhere to be laying under a bike U can't get off U. The PR7 is an adventure bike the 660 is a touring bike. When going a bit remote by myself will always take the lightest option.
      How's your 660 going been out much?

    How's it going mate? Me and a mate are going to Birdsville in july- August, which way did you go to Mildura. We don't really want to go straight up the highway. Can you tell me what time of the year you did this.

    • @dirtbikeadv
      @dirtbikeadv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Andrew did this trip in June but you have to be careful with closed roads this time of year. So from Warragul I go to Powelltown, Healesville, king Lake, Kilmore and up to Bendigo. Then Swan Hill and on to Mildura. I agree can't stand freeways on bikes
      Thanks for watching

      @@bigals.ktms.9937 Hi Mate, nah still happy with it does it all pretty comfortably. Really happy with tablet as I'm not a GPS pink line sort of person. It does have a hissy fit every now and again but with Hema maps loaded for offline use its brilliant. No reading glasses.
      Seating position, handling, engine characteristics, gearbox all good. Exhaust is a bit exposed to damage. Very similar to a 690/701 but not as much power. I call it a poor man's 690 lol
