    blows my mind that illustrator still doesn't have a button for isometric design. Affinity Designer makes it so easy, and considering how often this style is used in design its really infuriating that adobe has overlooked such a common need for illustrators.

      And tangent on circles... I have to pay a 50$ script bundle to get this stupid easy fonction. I tried AD but I was so lost...

    In the minute 4:14 how do you make te pattern stay the same size but expand the rectangle? which keys do you press using the transform tool?

    • @Vectortwist
      @Vectortwist  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      the shortcut for the Free Transform tool is "E". Make sure that the Scale Tool is set to transform the object only, not the pattern. To do that, double-click the Scale Tool in the Toolbar and uncheck "Transform Patterns" before you resize the object with the Free Transform Tool (E)

    i have a question for the transform scale tool. when you extended the rectangle of the pattern how did you enable only for the rectangle to expand and not the pattern. cause when i reached that step my pattern was scaling with the rectangle... :( Also, This is of great help. thank you so much.

      Just double-click on the scale tool or press Alt/option key and click on the screen and a scale dialog box will pop up. Then deselect the object without affecting the pattern itself.

    Is there a way to save this as like a preset, so that you dont have to remake the grid for every isometric design you do?

    • @Vectortwist
      @Vectortwist  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can do this as a pattern and save the doc as a template.

      @@Vectortwist Maam as I created an object on a guide than in that area it's not snapping again.
      It snaps when i lock that area.
