I personally can not stand those really fast tutorials with no verbiage at all and generally music not of my taste either...but that is just me, I like to celebrate and appreciate our differences and would hope others would do the same. Thank you for what I consider well done and comprehensive tutorials.

    Hi Dansky
    Noooooooo ... stick with your instincts, your videos are definitely not too long!!!!
    Had to tell you that changes in my life beyond my control have meant that I needed to make changes that I can control and I have turned to art because I didn't have, but always wanted a career in that arena. I have a copy of Adobe Illustrator CS5 and without the likes of you, my aim to master the software would be a far greater challenge!
    You may find it surprising, but having decided that you are extremely knowledgeable, I try to watch at least two of your illustrator videos each day. Who knows, maybe your efforts will increase my potential to have a career in graphics one day.
    Please keep the videos coming and .... make them as long as you like!!!
    Sally

    Hi Dan, with putting 86.602% [return] in illustrator I won't get the same result as you do. Mine jumps to something like 16383. You said "point" instead of komma, so I typed in a point. Just a minor thing but I switched it to a komma and it works.

    Question: I went through the whole video and I think my set up for "snap to.." is the same as yours yet my pen tool is not snapping to the points on the isometric grid or even if they do, the color fill doesn't cover the whole square/rectangle/area but always leaves some small gap empty. Any solutions? the points seem to snap from further but then once done I notice things are not perfectly aligned/snapped. something similar to 10:12 in yuor video, bit I am connecting my point already with a good zoom and the snap doesn't feel so snappy (the "magnetic pull" is not very strong). On your "snap to" settings, what have you got on? thank you

    • @ForeverDansky
      @ForeverDansky  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! You can add the vertical lines for that type of isometric grid, and I think it's a personal preference. There's another tutorial on my channel for that if you're interested. For me personally, once I've got this simple grid there's no need to add the vertical lines and complicate the grid, as Illustrator should snap to where the lines intersect anyway 🙂
