Hey, I was considering your set-up. I ran across some bigger more commercial set-ups that they run deep water dives with air tanks they pressurize for backup oxygen incase engine shuts off. While another thing the person noted was funneling the exhaust up and away from the compressor to ensure you don't end up compressing the wrong stuff. I'm sure for you it'll be relatively shallow diving and less a risk to have serious issues or long term exposure to exhaust but I'd still recommend maybe redirecting your exhaust to hopefully avoid it altogether. God bless
Thank you for watching. I’ve talked to proline directly and the owner assured me that it’s not an issue with the exhaust. He’s sold thousands of these dredges since he’s been in business and has never had one instance where the exhaust has poisoned the air to the diver. I initially had concerns about it but his theory is that the hot exhaust rises up and away from the compressor and won’t be sucked into the clean air intake. I’ve run this setup for some time now and have never had any issues as well as a bunch of my friends. As far as back up air I have run out of gas on one occasion and the reserve tank had plenty of air to cover me to get up and out without running out of air. Now you are right I dive fairly shallow so it’s not to big of a problem but I always try to fill up my gas tank every time I stop just to insure that I won’t run out. If someone was concerned about extra air they could always add a second reserve tank inline and double the reserve air. Just a thought. But thanks for your input and I hope you enjoy the channel!!
