The metal brackets are a must. We fabricated them for our backpack dredge a couple of years ago as the bungee didnt hold onto the floats in shallow water. Glad to see they are on the new model.

This is simply too small of a dredge for air. I idea is to be as light and compact as possible and working in shallow creeks cleaning our cracks and crevices. A dredge this size is not something you want to punch big holes. You use the portability to access the remote areas and smaller creeks for your best gold.
If you want air go to a bigger dredge way more practical also Pirate dredger is right 12 volt would be great however 2" dredge is for shallow water and maximum portability
Let’s look at it from now his prospective , one person can carry it it , compare it to my 4 inch with air , I’m tired getting it there and set up before I even start and I need a decent amount of water there too vs that’s a hi banker too
