Great video. Saved my ass. Speedometer stopped working and abs/traction light on. 06 trailblazer ss. Couldn't find the problem. Until your help. She's back on the road. All codes are gone and speedo works. Saved my wallet for sure. Thanks again.
I’m so glad it helped you out!! Thanks for watching and please consider subscribing!
You should fill that seal with grease and also grease the bearings with gotdamn grease, might be why you’ve had to take it back apart
Once you installed the new one was it able to slide inward and outward on the axle housing. Im replacing my bearings and your video was the only one that identified this part. Im not sure if mines broken or not.
The center section will move in and out a little bit within the outer section but it shouldn’t move in the axle housing itself. It should be tight to the housing and the center section should be free to move with the axle shaft and rotate.
@@ancellsadventures thank you man you are a life saver
Your Chanell looks really awesome too imma have to check out some of your videos when I can spare some free time
Thank you man. I’m about to do this.
@@marcoortiz339 I’m glad I could help!!
Just dealt with the same thing on my proline. Wish I had seen this first lol I figured it out and didn't break anything lol I need to pull off t80 and paint it and change the seals and build a water heater and ill be ready for spring!!! I enjoy your vids
Thank you for watching and I’m glad you enjoy them!
Hey, I was considering your set-up. I ran across some bigger more commercial set-ups that they run deep water dives with air tanks they pressurize for backup oxygen incase engine shuts off. While another thing the person noted was funneling the exhaust up and away from the compressor to ensure you don't end up compressing the wrong stuff. I'm sure for you it'll be relatively shallow diving and less a risk to have serious issues or long term exposure to exhaust but I'd still recommend maybe redirecting your exhaust to hopefully avoid it altogether. God bless
Thank you for watching. I’ve talked to proline directly and the owner assured me that it’s not an issue with the exhaust. He’s sold thousands of these dredges since he’s been in business and has never had one instance where the exhaust has poisoned the air to the diver. I initially had concerns about it but his theory is that the hot exhaust rises up and away from the compressor and won’t be sucked into the clean air intake. I’ve run this setup for some time now and have never had any issues as well as a bunch of my friends. As far as back up air I have run out of gas on one occasion and the reserve tank had plenty of air to cover me to get up and out without running out of air. Now you are right I dive fairly shallow so it’s not to big of a problem but I always try to fill up my gas tank every time I stop just to insure that I won’t run out. If someone was concerned about extra air they could always add a second reserve tank inline and double the reserve air. Just a thought. But thanks for your input and I hope you enjoy the channel!!
Thanks for the video.! Did you have any brake pedal vibration or abs kicking on at low speeds? Also how do you know which way to enter new bearing been told you could put it backwards if you don’t know.
Absolutely had brake pedal vibration the abs kept trying to activate. The ACDelco bearings don’t have (inside or outside) install direction. Other bearings may but I doubt it with this style because they are all under oil behind the seal. I hope the video was some help to you and thank you for watching!!
@@ancellsadventures so it doesn’t matter which way to install the bearing? I have all theses symptoms and it all started after shop replaced my seal on the left side seems like them damaged the ring. Connecting a scanner did your wheel sensor in live data have the left rear sensor going all over the place for reading while others 3 stayed all accurate?
@Terriquez14 no it shouldn’t matter which way you install them. It’s possible that when they installed the seal the spring came off the back and got into the bearing or tone ring. As far as my speed sensors all of mine were reading but the one that had a damaged tone ring. It wouldn’t read at all because the ring wasn’t turning with the axle
@@ancellsadventures I appreciate your help on this I’ve been goin at this for days and came across your video! My Left rear sensor reads but not accurately I’ve replaced it 3 times and all sensors do the same read all wonky and wheels lock up when i hit the brake and pedal vibrates like crazy. Just wanted to see if you had similar issues as this could be the fix.
@@Terriquez14 yeah this could definitely be your issue. It would be the first thing I’d look at if it were me! Good luck and let me know how it goes and if this fixes your problems!!
I just finished pulling my bearings and saw that plastic thing in there. Had to come here to find out what it was. Thanks so much! My bearings seemed fine so maybe I should change those. New subscriber.
Hope it helped! Thanks for watching and for subscribing!!
It definitely helped! I just ordered everything from Amazon. Identical bearings were half the price of the ones i picked up at the auto parts store today. I'll be saving almost enough in the price difference of the bearings to get the tone rings for free. I'll be returning those overpriced bearings to the auto parts store.
Very good video..thanks for posting.
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching !!
Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for, you explained exactly how this works and how to service it in a real world scenario. I had access to some online repair info (alldata) and it wasn't this clear or simple.
That’s awesome thank you for watching!! I’m glad you liked the video!!
Did it make a grinding noise just going straight or did turning make it worse?
It was grinding pretty much all the time once it started. Didn’t seem to come and go
How did you like the proline? Are you going to make any changes?
Love it! I’m not changing anything really added a water heater and quick disconnects to the fittings but other than that it’s stock
This video makes a lot of sense. It helped on three vehicles i worked on so far
@@LupaSmada that’s awesome! I’m glad this helped you out!
DUUUUUDE!!!!! I have been beating my head against a wall for weeks trying to get a 98 5.7 Vortec timed. I could get it to start and run but I had to have the new distributor advanced as far as it would go. I pulled it today and checked the gear, mine was exactly like yours, 180 off. After spinning it and dropping it back in I got it timed almost perfectly now. Thank you for this video.
I’m glad it helped you out! That’s why I made it!!
Great video. I had the same issue, where you can hear the relay going fast, but no turn signal operating to the left unless you just barely push the stalk down. However, I did try to fix the turn signal module, four years ago with success and recently without. Dirt and metal particles build up on the sliding contacts (for left versus right) inside and the switch shorts out, resulting in the hyper-flash sound. It's not hard to take apart. Remove a dust-cover and two small phillips screws. Clean dirt off contacts and put some new dielectric grease in the tracks. Extracting the turn signal module from the steering column is more challenging than servicing it. One caveat. Both times a plastic slider piece had fallen out as I take it apart. The first time I was upset because I couldn't figure out its proper orientation. Turns out it works both ways. The correct way makes the brights turn on by pushing the stalk away from you. The incorrect way makes the brights turn on (and stay on) if you pull the stalk towards you. The fix worked for four years the first time. But this time I need to buy a new module.
Thank you for watching and sharing your experience!!
Thanks a lot for taking the time to film all of this. I'm sure it was a huge pain already working in the dark and on your driveway much less filming it. I found lots of info on the front but nothing but your video to explain the rear. It seems tone ring failure is not that uncommon in early 2000's Sierra's, Yukon's, and Tahoe's. If you ever do the front, Detroit Axle has a good set of kits to replace the hubs and everything around them. Thanks again.
Your welcome! I’m glad you found the video useful. And yes filming does make everything harder and take longer but I enjoy helping others when I can! Please consider subscribing if you haven’t already and thanks for watching!!
Thanks so much. You save me a lot of time
Glad I could help!!
Were you having trouble with the same belt that you just reconditioned or was it a different pump? I saw how you fixed the seized pieces to the pump in another video. Thanks for sharing your video!
So after I changed the belt and reinstalled the pump, the pump seal was dripping water on the belt pulley when I started running. I didn’t see anything wrong with the seals when I had it apart so I just reused them. After a couple hours of running the seals started to get worse and the belt slipped and I didn’t notice it until it was too late. I talked to prolines owner and he thinks I probably got oil or grease on the seals when I was working on it and those seals cannot have any oils come in contact with them at all, they will leak! So I’ve got new seals and belt on the way! It was a very aggravating learning experience to say the least!!
I’m the one with a different username on the other site. I love dredge videos. I prospect in Dahlonega GA and in SC.
I gotcha thanks for watching!
You don't need an oil and water separator??
No this is an oil free compressor and the air filter I’m using here will separate any water vapor out.
Mine hyper flashes to the right but not to the left... i have checked all the bulbs and wires. Everything seems to work except its flashing too fast. Could it be the same issue?
Yes that’s what this did it would flash normal about twice then started flashing only on some bulbs which caused it to hyper flash like a blown bulb
Great Video.
Did this repair get rid of your noise?
Yes it did and the abs light went out immediately when driving
Guys sing pretty good
We try lol!
I love the southern spirit
Absolutely!! Thanks for watching!!
nice work bro
Thank you!!
Thank You so much for taking the time to make this video. Mist not be a common failure point. Any forum posts i found were inconclusive with the depth to seat, sloppyness of the new part, i thought mine was toast but when i saw your video i realized mine is fine. Thank You for providing clarification
I’m so glad it helped!! That’s the reason why I love making videos like this! If I can help one person out then it’s been a success. Most of these videos help out many people who don’t know how to do the job and if I can make things easier I’m proud!! Thanks for watching and please consider subscribing if you haven’t already!!
New sub. Great dredging video. Heavy Pans!!!
Thank you so much!! There’s more to come soon
Good video! You guys tested a bunch of ground that is for sure. I’m digging your hose mounting brackets that you’ve added to both dredges cool concept. And now I want one of the pro-Mack cleanup sluices lol.
We had a busy week for sure and it absolutely wore us out! The hose mounts were Kevin’s idea and they have worked out great! Makes transporting so much easier. And I can’t find another pro Mack sluice I’ve looked everywhere! That thing is amazing! My homemade version is good but that thing something else!

What did you use to get the tone out.. just the regular bearing puller?
Yes just the bearing puller hooked to a slide hammer pops right out
Your awsome bro
Thank you!
Simple green brilliant. Thank you how has it held up
It worked great for short runs mainly 20 minutes at a time. When I tried to run it consistently it had some reed issues. I ended up going to a gas compressor. The video is up on my channel. Hope this helps!!
Hey guys!
I was the gentleman with his wife you talked to. Glad you took my advice to make another video. As always you made another great video. Congrats on that nice fish.

Looks like a great time with a couple of great guys. Awesome trout!
Well you know I was in good company! Thanks!
O man! You left that guy Kevin out of the video 😢
Speaking to a 10 Bolt 8.6" in a 2007 Suburban/Yukon, the O.D of the cage for the exciter is 70mm. 2.75Inch = 69.85mm. If you need to drive it in with accuracy and dont want to spend $50+ on a 68mm driver, see if the autopart store (or amazon) has an exhaust reducer with an O.D of 2.75". If you want to do it the way I do it? Lightly heat the inside of the housing with a torch to get it just hot enough to cause the oils on the outside to smoke a bit. Meanwhile, have the ABS Ring, Torrington Bearing and seal in the freezer for no less than one hour. Grab an old beach towel, take them out of the freezer and wrap them all tightly in the towel to keep them cold. Install them with the housing freshly torch heated (keep the torch moving!) and install the frozen parts ASAP. They will damn near slide into the housing more or less. Happy trails!
Great advice!! Thanks for sharing that with everyone!! This was a first for me but I’m always willing to take advice from those who have learned an easier way to do things!! Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching!!
A$$ saved Thanks!

How many bottles did you use for the inside ?
I think it was 4 inside and four outside if I’m not mistaken. It’s been a while since I filmed this episode lol.
@@ancellsadventures the brown paint you used. Was it just normal paint?
@keadejohnson5111 No it was acrylic enamel car paint without any hardeners or additives. Basically just the base paint color. We went to a local body shop and looked at his paint book and found a color we liked and he mixed us one quart right on the spot. That particular color is a Toyota paint color. That’s one thing that made it so nice you can tint it to whatever color you want.

Think I could join you guys on a hunt. I've always wanted to try panning. I metal detect a lot. An want to try something new. Thanks
Unfortunately the properties we are working at the moment are private and we aren’t able to bring guests. However if you’re serious about wanting to get involved in gold prospecting you should definitely check out the Central Virginia Gold Prospectors club. It’s an amazing club that is very family friendly and very welcoming to newcomers! It’s $100 a year for your entire family and has 5 properties at the moment and adding more in may or June. You can camp on the properties and go anytime you want to go. Generally speaking after the monthly meetings they invite new people out to the claims to show them around and teach them how to pan. You can check them out at CVGP. Net
