    The JP dub for this quest never failed to make me cry. It really captures the pain behind Emil's voice. Not to mention the soundtrack made it even worse TT I've literally watched the very same playthough more than 5 times. I can't imagine if I do this quest myself. I would pause so many times wiping my tears ngl.

    So eng version is venting out anger to the World
    Japan version is more like a child slowly then drastically going insane then explode.
    At least that how it sound to me.

    • @elviejomundo2446
      @elviejomundo2446 5 ปีที่แล้ว +71

      I think the japanese dub is more emotional. There is some wise poetry in making the shouts of anger and sadness of a life form that has lived over a thousand year sound childlike. It says to me: even with thousand of years, there are no combination of words that can explain my pain except sheer, pure and indiscriminate expression of emotion. Even in his long years, his sadness and pain is innocent, pure and naive. That's why it hurts so much, he treats his pain like a child and his pains is much more grown.

    Daily reminder that only one Emil Clone exploded, and it thrashed the fucking Earth.
    One. That's literally just one.
    There's millions of Emil Clones. You fought a handful of them and barely won.
    Emil can solo all of humanity, YoRHa, resistance androids, Aliens, and machines. It's just that due to the continuous cloning, he lost his mind and therefore the ability to think thoroughly and rationally, hence the insanity of the Emil Clones in this boss fight.

    • @Blacklegshanks

    well then there goes my pride of not buying the trophy. I screwed up ending Y a miss-able ending if you decide not to use any walkthrough or guide. I Thank Yoko Taro for putting the trophy shop at the same time, DAMN YOKO TARO for putting an EPIC side mission that's not replayable. This side mission should be an extra main mission right after ending E or something, so it can be replayable but noooooo. In all honesty, I screwed up because I panicked when Emil self destructing.
    There goes my 100% completion run. I already sacrifice my save already and there's no way im doing a 2nd time. Probably I do a 3rd playthrough someday. After seeing this, I feel the urge of playing Nier on PS3, but buying the hard copy is so rare in retail store at Australia. I don't mind the gameplay since I played Drakengard 1 and 3.

      Amateur, i had to complete ending D four different times, and ending E 2 different times. I was lucky that my instincts told me to span in the opposite direction of Emil when the countdown began lol. But in all seriousness, something like this is something you keep to yourself. Legit troohy hunters understand the grind of having to do all things over in order to get all trophies due to data loss, bad choices, etc. You cleared this trophy list by feeding on the games generousity without having to grind like everyone else did. Congratulations. Have fun trying to get the missable trophies in literally any other game, casual. "Pride"? If you had pride, buying the trophy would never be an option.

      I think this is an issue with every game. English subtitles used are as far i know, always taken directly from the English audio. So accuracy kinda depends on how much the english audio differs from the japanese ones.
      I dont know Japanese well enough to understand large phrases, but i do know that the translation at 2:00 is wrong. she says simply "What is that?", not "what in the godamn". another example being 2:32 "hey, are you ok?" is what's actually being said
