Original is ALWAYS better because original creators, writers and directors are worked on this with voice actors that they picked up. Dub is always an inferior option that has nothing to do with original creators (and it applies for ANY foreign media).

This fight and dialogue gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. I can't fathom having not played Replicant before this game. It makes this so much more impactful and saddening.

Having recently finished NIer Autmata, i cant help but feel Emils ending was theinteded last and final ending. a way to let emil rest in peace after literally suffering for over ten thousand years..as a child. Seriously brings tears to my eyes, but man, what an amazing tale. emil is now one of my favourite characters ever. Thanks for your awesome work here :)

Because of his magical immortality, Emil respawned in the future meaning that the peace he can take from dying isn't even permanent because he will always come back.

Japanese voice sure hits right on the spot in terms of agony expressions and feelings, although little bit too 'wordy'. But can't get from English voice versions which feel more dramatic, desperate, yet poetic and chaos at the same time, like he's confused about his own personality too.
This is tens of millennia years old machine we are talking about.
