- “This is the first factory in the United States to produce supersonic airliners. Seeing the building complete is a big step toward the return of supersonic travel - we are literally paving the way,” said Chris Taylor, Boom’s VP of manufacturing. "Now that the construction is complete, my team and I will focus on operationalizing the production floor, which includes designing and implementing assembly stations, developing positioning and joining processes, and planning material flow."
The Overture Superfactory will use four assembly stations to build 33 Overture aircraft per year. A second planned assembly line will double production to 66 supersonic airliners annually. The Superfactory campus will also include a delivery center where global airlines including United, American, and Japan Airlines will receive their supersonic aircraft.

When I was kid, imagining my career as a pilot, I thought I would be flying supersonic aircraft for much of my career. Concorde was flying, and Boeing and Lockheed were both working on Mach busting designs. I'm now three years away from retiring from my job as an A320 captain. The aircraft I fly now is slower than the 727, an aircraft I flew for seven years early in my career, and was designed in the late 50's/early 60's. The Overture will arrive after I retire, and my expectation of flying supersonic will never transpire. Oh well. It's been a good run anyway. God Speed, Overture.
Amazing, can't wait to fly on Overture!

That’s literally 1960s tech..
The only new thing is the change in sound of the engines.
@@brunol-p_g8800 Its not 1960s tech because its being built in the 21st century...

Yeah, maybe because they just built the factory? Idk just a thought.
because they just built the fucking factory???
This is history in the making :)
I agree, truly incredible
It's an animated video.
Rather irrelevant
The Concorde was history in the making, designed with pens and paper, that’s not.

I live two blocks from the super factory, I am super excited for this!
They had the groundbreaking ceremony this week.

Bro thats literally a modern copy of the Concorde
Concord
@@PommesPaul7838 Now with modern technologies which will make the design even more desirable to airlines and profitable. Nobody looks at a 787 and says “that’s a copy of an A300” because decades of innovation have occurred between the two airliners. Yes, they’re fundamentally the same layout of aircraft, widebody twinjets, but one isn’t the copy of another, just like how Overture isn’t a copy of Concorde.
Concorde was literally a copy of Tupolev Tu-144. Let’s wait for an innovation to make supersonic passenger flights the norm.
@dreamsthatgotogether7553
The Russians had stolen plans from the concord design teams. The engines could only go supersonic for short periods of time, limiting it to internal flights. I think you should check where you get your information from.
Thank you for bringing back the age of supersonic.
It's hard to get excited by a fake, animated clip.
Its a visual plan bro, stop being so negative
I was hyped for the old design
Get excited by the XB-1 actually undergoing test flights then…
you mean CGI factories and renderings don't get you excited? lol
I’m so excited to fly on the overture… it’s going to be amazing
Wow, it’s incredible to be alive in the journey of the first overture being built!
Making CGI aircraft since 2024 🙂
I would probably make a model of it for the X-Plane flight simulator, but is this at least close to the final design iteration? LOL
Ofc it is a cgi vid they cant take it off without it built
Their entire company is CGI😂
Real aircraft too, the XB-1 is already undergoing its test program
Making entertaining and educational videos about how their aircraft would be built since 2024 🙂
“I live in the American Gardens Building on W. 81st Street on the 11th floor. My name is Patrick Bateman. I'm 27 years old.”
I have to say this comment sums up Boom and all of its believers perfectly.

I feel in many ways that this will be the change in direction that the world needs to kickstart supersonic travel across the globe. Concorde reimagined. Thank you Boom!
I look forward to seeing the first of these aircraft
letsgoooooooooooooooooooooo yall are taking us back to the golden age of air travel supersonic babyyyy
This will be interesting to observe
i get more hyped for this thing every time a new video comes out
So cool to see the design of the Concorde being brought back to life
Good job in creating history
Yeah, I love the design and idea of the plane and all, but considering it has delta wings, the plane will only be efficient at supersonic speeds, and will have a much higher stall speed, so landing that thing will be just as hard as the Concorde, and it will have to angle up to gain more lift. Except at least the concorde had the droop snoop. With this you won’t even be able to see the runway.
I can't wait to see the first one roll off the assembly line
Let's hope everything moves forward, this is the future of traveling and the maquila that controls space and time... go for it with the overtune.
Nice! I had the fortune to fly on Concorde in 1996 and this would be equally exciting.
Can't wait !!! woohoo ❤
Amazing 🇺🇸
truly amazing 🇺🇸
I cannot wait!
Congratulations on completing the factory. I'm pretty sure your hypersonic plane will be the only plane I'll be flying from now on.
I didn’t know the factory was completed, I thought it was in the process.
It's not built yet, and it won't be hypersonic.
@MoraleIsHigh well still this plane will be the only plane I'll fly from now on.
looks like an animation to me!
im excited for the first test flight
Boom has a TH-cam channel?!! I immediately subscribed
Gonna be a pilot for one of these

Nice CGI. Well done!!!
I'm sure, This plane will change the world.
THE CONCORDE SHALL RISE FROM THE GRAVE
Amazing work
God I’d love to fly one someday!
we are watching history unfold!
Out of curiosity, was Boom's plan to make supersonic jets that don't make a "boom" anymore, and can thus potentially fly over land, or are they just targeting flights over the ocean?
I remember reading about some new technology that was trying to turn the boom part into more of a "umph" which is less of a nuisance, I can't remember what company was doing that.
Just flights over ocean, its nasa and lockheed who are working on eliminating the boom
I don't think they are at the moment, Overture has been in development for a while before the QueSST project by NASA will fly
They are aiming to make the sonic boom similar to the decibel level of a car door being shut.
I'm glad they called it Boom and not "Umph" 😂
That is honestly mindbogeling
Awesome! Glad Supersonic flight is making a return! Technology shouldn’t be gone to waste!
Regular updates are good!
Wow they are already building it! wait, ITS JUST AN ANIMATION??!!
LET'S GO!!!💪💪💪

The Concorde era is coming back 🥹It brings me a lot of nostalgia 😔 😢
Boom is becoming the Tesla of commercial aviation with this one 🔥
When you go to a "upload a video no longer than 2 minutes" competition but your rival is boom supersonic:
About time we had some fast travel 🎉
Boom decided to go fast while the rest decided to slow down. All aviation industry needs at this point is the return of SSTs.

you guys have changed the design like 10 times now.
Our Concorde is back!
I am so excited hopefully end better than concorde

Oh HELL YEAH
Boom, you better make this shit into reality. Seeing just an animation just give me a glimpse of hope but I still don't believe it till it see it for real.
I should've waited since I already made an edit about this yesterday. 😭 (more clips to use)
I will believe it when I see it. This is just an animation. They don't even have the engines yet.

One question, does the snoot droop for runway visibility?
why are there 2 designs for the overture? one small and one big… what is the finalized design going to be?
I can not wait for the future of this aircraft
Good luck guys, I hope this works.
That's the flight I will spend money on
It’s finally happening
How much of this is real , actual plane production and how much is just simulation of what they think it will be?
Skeptical, but cool to know that this company is based in Denver.
Starting where the 2707 left, but much better
Goodbye concord 🥲 and hello overture 😊
Will the snoot droop?

YESSSSS IS THIS GOING TO BE ACTUALLY HAPPENING?
I actually thought this was real footage until I rewatched it
Pls don’t cut corners 😊
YAY CONCORDE 2
Not sure there’s enough of a market for this type of aircraft considering how expensive each one would be. The airlines would most likely only buy 3 or 4 each, and not every airline would have routes needing this type. The really viable routes would be long haul over the Pacific. Atlantic routes are short enough that when you consider departure and arrival sequencing times, the short time at supersonic speeds are not that long. These would be very expensive routes. Part of the reason the Concorde didn’t last. Pretty big gamble, I’d say.
when is the first test flight
Wow :)
its crazy how theyve went from everyone thinking theyll fail to this, dont listen to the haters
I am soo hyped❤❤
Like if your also hyped
I will be happy if you make the snoot drop
I used to think u wouldn’t succeed but man I was wrong u are changing the world 0:32
