Seeing the fluid cavitation inside the A-10's ball compass caused by the firing of the cannon was amazing. Talk about rattling your eye teeth! How does the pilot even see while his eyeballs are being rattled like that! The whole world must be a total blur for them. Wow!
It's a similar effect on the fligth deck when a jet is about to take off with afterburner.
What's that mean ?
At the 3:47 mark it call the aircraft the A-10 Lightning II (Warthog). It the A-10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog) Thunderbolt after the Great WWII Republic P-47 Thunderbolt
It was initially called Tank Killer!

Those whom God refers to as "overcomers" are those who are able to stand as witnesses and maintain their trust and loyalty to God when they are under the influence of Satan and attacked by Satan, that is, when they are in the midst of the forces of darknessIf you are still able to maintain a pure heart before God and true love for God no matter what happens, you stand as a witness before God, and this is what God refers to as being an "overcomer." Since you saw that God Himself came to earth to make you perfect, you must give your heart completely to Him. When you do your duty, you don't panic; when you face trials you stand firm. This is faithfulness to God.)

The A10 as well as the A6 Intruder are the two ugliest/most beautiful aircraft in our inventory. Well, I should say the Intruder was in our inventory. As the saying goes “beauty is as beauty does” thus making these two birds gorgeous. The C130 has also been a favorite of mine for a long time.

The accuracy is top-notch
The gun is not angled to the side because of the recoil. The gun is off set to the side so the barrel firing is always in the center line of the aircraft.

I have noticed that a lot of the pilots pick the A-10 as their preferred choice of plane when they are coming out of flight school. They picked it over newer more advanced aircraft. Yet the Air Force brass in the Pentagon have been trying to get rid of this plane since its first launch because of its mission. They don’t want the job of close air support for the guys on the ground. But they don’t want to give up the money to the Army and let the Army do it themselves.
Aye. The Air Farce, the Chair Force, the Fighter Mafia... maybe it was a mistake to have four other operators for aircraft instead of the grunts who need it the most. (Counting USAF, USN, USMC, National Air Guard. Let's not count Coast Guard)
I was station in fort bliss tx and when we went to the field in the desert . This a 10 would low fly and rock their wings over our convoys i was young and naive just thinking of the job ahead to set up camp to gunnery fire ada artillery missiles at a range near white sands missile range . And would think that they would fry us if we where the enemy in a war . You dont see or hear them until they are on top of you . And nite other war plane shacking us with their after burners . Love it becouse i knew they where ours protecting us out there .
Sound this gattling gun is very scary,A10 is old but still efective on battlefield.

Didn't Gatling himself try out an electric motor on the gun, already back then? Maybe it was too much...
I always wondered why the US Navy didn't try to hack the Gast gun design for the 1.1in flak round. It was all there by 1930 at their disposal. (The Soviets had a good experience later with their 23mm and 30mm aircraft cannon. With obviously a different linkage mechanism and a more compact gun, but the same operating principle anyway.)

i 've seen the warthog new version and just as cool. but the video has errors in it. the gun when fired does slow down the plane not noticeable but force of the gun is higher than the thrust of the engines

hey usa make a smaller 35mm single barrel, quad or tri barrel lighter vesions of the gau-8. we are giong to need these new versions of them that is ment for bascly of both auto cannon and gattling cannons verson of this for smaller aircraft and veacels. how it works bascly it just trades all of that exrta fire rate RPM in exchange for much smaller size, weght and better long range accritsy. this is so we can have some of that gau-8 high cabler firepower but its just fire at a bit slower fire rate but its also a bit smaller and more acrute for them smaler vecales. like we do need some better way of dealing with drones and very long range fire and foget self gided jont strike range missle sistems that can be mounted on much smaler vecales and aircraft. we are giong to need it when more armored gps jaming harden uavs drone swarms that are now allready being abavle this year to the enemys of nato. this is giong to be needed to cheaply and effectly conuter of all of those as well.
А-10 хорошая машина для войны с аборигенами в пустыне/степи, не имеющими своё ПВО (и ПЗРК). Как показал опыт войны на Украине: самолёты-штурмовики очень уязвимы, основное оружие у них и вертолётов - управляемые/не управляемые ракетные системы.
