Should be getting the call this afternoon to come pick up mine, getting 4 1/2 inch long arm lift installed on the XJ and upgrading to 33 inch MT's. Pretty stoked. Between now and spring hoping to do winch bumper, winch, lockers, rock sliders..... unless the engine goes first, then I'll take care of it first. Lifters are rattling pretty good, but not using any oil, and doing fine. If it holds off death a while, the plan is to drop a stroker in it. Should be trail ready and cruising around old mining and logging roads by the time the snow's coming out of the Cascades.
I wish I had friends like this to help me with my mods I literally have the same Jeep everything exact same color and all only difference is I got tint all the way around I love it
So i believe on these newer grand cherokees the front axle shafts are like cv shafts with rubber boots. Can these axles be easily swapped out for the stronger medal joints?
Yes, we already swapped the axle to a double cardon one. It's a simple process for the most part if you only have to change the yoke type at the transfer case. The yoke at the axle is a little more work but it's not too bad.
Is this the jeep grand cheroke 2.7 crd and if so did you only install the lift kit and if so you did you need to do extra modifications to fit them. My question is if i could buy a lift kit for my jeep grand cherokee 2.7 crd and just put it on without buying anything extra
2inch max! Kit cost £54! Anything over 3.5inch.....big bucks! Tie rods, drive shafts, gota drop the transfer box, different shocks, springs....just so it'll flip over 1st corner! I've had a 2inch boost on my 2001 wj 4.7. It looks great!
