    Update: well hello it’s been working well we have had to replace a whole bunch of parts here and there based on the age of the vehicle, we are now needing to get a rebuild kit in front lower control arms because the snap rings won’t stay in place we are talking with Rough Country now on that. We just replaced the tie rod ends also we are gonna replace the drop pitman arm as that wore the tie rods out and the steep angels on the drag length and caused bump steering. That is something to consider when you do the kit. As for the driveshaft we had to remove the front driveshaft and replace the cv joint on the transfer case side because it created a vibration that made it un-drivable. Right now it has fixed the problem. It has been 7,000 miles later in 9 months since the kit was put on. We also replaced the rear suspension upper control arm and ball joint, all this should have been done during original install of the kit basically due to the age of the vehicle and the miles that was on it originally. Rough Country has been great. Colten is a great kid who helps out and he is only 18 so you know how that can be. When we purchased the kit May 2019 Rough Country was not selling the drop pitman arm at that time now they are. Jic anyone wanted an update. Today is March 2, 2020

      Would you mind looking at the front lower control arms for me please?
      I have some adjustable ones from a different manufacturer and they're straight with parallel bushings. The bushings are extremely distorted on mine.
      Your arms seem to be bent to prevent this bushing issue I'm seeing on mine.
      Am I right, your arms are bent?
      Are they bent inward? (Like for turning radius)
      Or are they bent vertically for ground clearance ?
      The video was a bit too quick for me.
      Thank you thank you. 🙏

      chris aragon hello and good morning we are running street Toyo open country radials there was no death wobble we just had the bump steer issue but that was because we needed the drop pitman arm which I actually ordered yesterday. Our son has worked on it and we keep adding things. I updated a post on here Monday night about how it was doing now since the install. Thanks for asking. Thank you for the great comment.🌟

    Nice work, how much did you spend on this

    • @dawngallop
      @dawngallop  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Danny Pinarete hello, the kit was right at $1,000 which they offer a financing if you choose, which my son was quick to offer that idea. The tires with alignment and installation of the tires plus tax was $1,100. We basically did all the work except the tires. I can’t remember any other cost so roughly $2,100 total. Everything has went well and he has put it to the test!!! About two weeks ago (the end of October 2019) the rear shock bracket worked loose and our son didn’t notice so we called rough county and ordered another bracket which was like $36 bucks total. Thank you for asking. Appreciate the compliment.

      Jordan Kornegay hello the short arm kit is doing absolutely fine! Only parts we have had to replace that was originally on the Jeep tie rod ends and bushings that support the springs things we should of replaced at first. All and all doing awesome!! He just turned 18 and drives it everywhere we live on a large farm so he dogs it in the mud and we live on a dirt road so it makes long journeys everyday. I think it is definitely worth it and he is super glad he got it. He wants to do my FJ cruiser but idk yet. Thank you and hth.

    What is hard to adjust the axles so u don’t get drive line vibration/noise

    • @dawngallop
      @dawngallop  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Josh David we called Rough Country and these jeeps have to change the CV joints to universal joints or even maybe a new drive shaft. Jeeps this year some have a front universal joint on the axel and a cv joint on the transfer case. A new cv joint on the transfer case side of the drive shaft if it’s dried out. We removed the drive shaft to confirm where the vibration was coming from. Rough Country recommendation is to change the drive shaft. Which changing the drive shaft is approximately around $400. HTH thanks for asking.
