    I have been taking K2 and D3 for over 4 years now. I am 79. About 6 years ago I had a serious heart attack brought on by arterioriolsclerosis. I needed 4 stents to survive. I was placed on blood pressure medication, statins, coumadin, etc. Since taking K2,D3 I have stopped taking the BP meds, statins, etc. I have discovered that many doctors do not know about the benefits of D3,K2 supplements or simply do not want to recommend their use. I personally take 30,000 IU of D3 along with 300 mcg of K2 on a daily basis. My blood pressure has dropped significantly to 120/75 during my use of D3,K2. Please note that it is very important to take K2 while taking D3. Just my personal experience. Hope that this helps somone out there. Note that there are many studies and reports available on line on the taking these supplements.

    Plant based is high in toxic oxalates. … thoughts on how dumping oxalates is hard on kidneys

    • @njsongwriter
      @njsongwriter ปีที่แล้ว

      I have been dumping oxalates and recently started taking MSM because high oxalates cause low sulphur. Since doing that I wake up in the morning with pain in my left kidney.
      I'm thinking this may or may not be a good sign. Not sure yet. Maybe it just means that the oxalates are moving much like a kidney stone would. I'm also starting on Chanca Piedra to dissolve the oxalate crystals. Hydroxycitric acid is supposed to be good for that as well.

    I am confused about what you've said. Is the upper tested limit for vitamin k2 360 milligrams or 360 micrograms? In this video at 7:21 you say 360 mcg, but in a more recent video, you claim that they have tested as high as 360 mg with no side effects. Since that is a 1,000 fold difference, I would like some clarification.

    • @njsongwriter

      It's micrograms not milligrams. Big difference. 1000 mcg = 1 mg

    Please forgive me, I'm not an expert. But, there seems to be recent research that shows MK4 is the preferred version of K2. It stays in the blood for a shorter time because that is the form the body absorbs best. It was also shown that K1 and MK7 both convert into MK4 meaning that that is probably what the body wants and needs most. But you should check it yourself. I am just an info consumer here!

    I have to disagree with your advice to not take K2mk7 if also taking warfarin/coumadin. As long as you get routine blood checks to measure your INR and adjust as necessary, it's fine. And the side effects of warfarin/coumadin - I have read that it interferes with calcium and how calcium gets used or dispersed in your body.
