Are you just searching for words to say on the video when you say the bike has no character? Those Honda shadows are probably the most reliable motorcycles built in the last 40 years. I wish I would have bought one when they were in production. I’ve owned 23 motorcycles, all the major Japanese brands and several Harleys, and still regard the Shadow as one of the best. It’s character is in its simple design, it’s American cruiser look, build quality, and an engine that gets you there and back time after time.
It's all of the above. The perfect motorcycle. It's reliable and very beautiful. But it's kind of like looking at a perfect 10 in a magazine. All the above, but it lacks the character your girlfriend with the tattoo or crooked smile may have. If that makes any sense. As you, I've owned Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki and Harleys. This is my second Shadow and they've both been extremely well-made motorcycles. I would recommend one to anybody over almost anything.
i bought one a while back . got tired of the harley problems. i bought it when it had 6500 miles on it last year. now as 19.000 miles on it. never in the shop runs great. mine is a 2000 beats my old harleys hands down.
The thing with the foot pegs is there's supposed to be a spring in there. It's hard to install the spring, and they're loose because whoever installed them left the springs out.
Beautiful bike. Just bought a 2006 Sabre with 23,000 miles on it. $500 😅 Its my first motorcycle. Got it running after sitting for over 10 years, refreshed everything, now she runs like a champ. Really happy with the bike, all ive heard is good things about reliability so im excited for the future with it 🤙🏽 Learning to ride slowly but enjoying every second of it! Msf course soon 😎
nice bike & video! I have a 2001 Honda shadow spirit 1100. video on TH-cam. yeah the carb removal is a nightmare to remove. I put large jets in it, (was backfiring.) I like the color bro. mines Apollo blue.
Really nice Sabre 1100. I am shopping for one currently. I wonder if Honda made more 750s than 1100s. Seem a bit harder to find. I run nothing but Ethanol free fuel in my bikes. For the extra few dollars, the peace of mind makes it worth it.
I love that look. I just bought a black 2001 Shadow Spirit 750 and it doesn not look as cool and beefy as your Sabre, but it's cool and sounds amazing even stock. EDIT : I LOVE that color and as a musician, the color of my bass matters, too.
Thanks man. I bought it on eBay for $32 plus shipping. If you search "Show Chrome Accessories 53-119 Front Fender Rail for VT 1100 Sabre 2000-2008" You should find it. I hope that helps.
It's tricky to put on. I would advise putting masking tape all over the fender in the areas where the bolts are. Very easy to scratch your fender doing it.
I have a 2007 1100 sabre. If you ever ride in shorts do you ever feel droplets from your radiator hitting your leg? Do you know if it's just condensation getting blown off while riding?
Greatest mistake I ever had done is to sell my Sabre last year. They are dirty cheap for what they offer and best imho. After 9 years with her I cant find anything that suits me.

@@smokymountainrides YES, that makes sense to me ! The crooked smile, the imperfections ARE the perfections, like Good WIll Hunting.

Add a small amount of "Marvel's Mystery Oil" to your fuel, about an ounce per tank full! It will help to keep your carb clean!
I've tried to buy one of those 1100 Shadows 2 or 3 different times, but each time had problems meeting with the seller. Kind of weird.
That tank bib will wreck your paint very quickly from abrasion. Looks sweet tho!
Thanks man

Awesome vlog. Beautiful bike.
Looking forward to ongoing updates about your bike. 👌
Thank you sir. Thanks for subscribing!
I love the purple. My first bike was a two tone shadow ACE in purple pearl and silver
Thanks, I've seen those, really nice combo
Yours is the last of the good Honda cruiser 's. The 1100 Rebel is a albatross in the looks Department, no hope at all.
I agree

750's are far more common for sure

Thanks! I appreciate the view and compliments ! The 750's are really nice bikes too. I had a 2003 750 Spirit. Loved it! Keep on jamming!
@@smokymountainrides So you play, too and ride !

I've never experienced that. It sounds like a leak somewhere. It shouldn't do that
Wow its insane! How did you change the color?
That's the original paint 🎨
Where'd you get that highway/crashbar? Would love to get that for my bike
I'm not sure. It was on there when I got it.
