Fine job! I changed the oil on my Kawasaki Vulcan earlier this year, pretty sure it was the factory oil filter. It was so tight, by the time that I got it off, it looked like a crushed pop can.
Mamma Two Wheels will no doubt love the mods. You are a master. I wouldn't begin to cross breed a Honda with Harley parts, but you got it done. I'm very impressed.
I'm not a cruiser guy, but I like to see vids where there is improvisation . We did that a lot before all the catalogs of ready to fit goodies came out. I really grooved on this.
Great job. I know she liked it. I'm wondering did you have to re adjust the bars to fit her more comfortably?. I seriously think it was time for a tune up on the bike. LoL. Thanks for sharing. Much love. Stay healthy and safe.
Ya om my old 81 Honda Twinstar the drain plug is almost hidden by the exhaust pipe ,so its a pit acword but doable .oh and great job guy the old Honda girl is looking even without the pollish .
Jordan, I have a 2002 Shadow A.C.E. which i love. I learned early on with it to keep my right leg away from the pipes as well as any clothing. I'm curious if sitting on the narrower seat makes the hot exhaust pipe easier to touch with the leg or clothing?
@@JuanArroyo-z8e they were taller, but with a lot less pull back. With some rerouting of the cables behind the headlight you can get away with some pretty tall bars on these.
Well done with the seat modification. Keep plugging away and the viewers will find you. I dang near bought a Honda shadow but my neighbor offered his 2002 VTX 1800 R For 3,000$ and I could not resist. That was 5 days ago and I'm certain he has sellers remorse.☹️
Great video man! A really sanitary installation too, I think the new look and function will be a game changer for your mother in law, I hope Jess does a video upon delivery. 😎👍
Since there's a gap under the seat, does it sit higher than the original? And, if so, does the narrow width more than make up for that? In other words, is her footing going to be any better?
Nice job with the seat it took me a while to realize that Saddlemen actually make a really comfortable narrow seat for our bikes ( me and her have the same bike ) but the handle bars I might go the same route as you did there’s not much for the shadows
I would of preferred to buy a seat specific for her bike, but we found this one used for like $20, plus some steel I had laying around. A new one was a quarter of what she purchased the motorcycle for. Hard to justify.
@@JordanRay oh I get that I paid 358bucks for my bike then I got the Saddlemen , then I started questioning my sanity lol bike was going to be scrapped that’s why I got it so low salvage title
Midgie is so cute "helping" you tie the boots, andin general. I've said it before, for how not long you've been fabricating you're very good at it! Jayman...
I could really use your help and advice. I have a 2000 1100 Aero, and cannot find a touring seat that fits it anywhere. Just wondering if any other model Shadow, Harley, VTX, Gold Wing seat can be modified to fit the Aero 1100? My wife wants to start riding with me and the stock seat just isn't good enough for two-up riding. Even If I had to modify the mounting brackets or something similar. I would really like a get Mustang to fit up on her. Much appreciated, thanks !!
So, I’ve tried to do a little research on this, there’s just not a lot out there. I made this seat work with a spacer on the bottom and a longer strap on the rear. Best I can say is maybe look at seat cushion like “wild ass” that may offer her some support. I see there are aftermarket options from corbin, but to be honest sitting in a saddle on longer rides is different among people, and seats makes a small difference, it’s not a fix all. Best of luck to you.
@@Cultureshockcrew sorry bout that, I’m surprised no else mentioned this. I’ll include it in the description too! th-cam.com/video/nl3FHNEp-KU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CiiahFV6UHfck0tG
Awesome video. One ? Since that’s a drive shaft driven bike is that all gotta do ? I got a 2004 Honda shadow just like that one still kinda learning stuff on it
Yeah just change the rear gear oil, I didn’t touch her brakes any, the rear is a drum so it’s unfamiliar to me, I also didn’t touch the coolant but that is actually easy to change aswell.
If I'm lucky I'll start my riding on honda shadow soon as I can afford one then in future maybe get a decent model fron Indian What do you think? Btw nice job on fitting the seat
Good video. You handled the seat amazingly easy. I would’ve just said well this doesn’t fit and looked for something else. I’m not good at fabricating.
I watched this a year ago before getting my honda shadow... thousands of miles later and a few months of riding... I'm still afraid of changing my handle bars lol
@@AbdallaE-x8j starting out I was afraid also, what helped me was watching other people do it first and explain. I’m a visual learner, so once I see how-to I usually can repeat it. Good luck 👍🏻
Really starting to h8t3 this bike. After only two weeks of owning it it won't start. I knew it was a mistake to buy a Vtwin. Just finding out it had a bunch of nonsense safety kill switches all over it, on the kickstand, one on the clutch, one tip over switch, one on the neutral, etc... really blew my mind for the level of built in st00pidity. Any one of them could fail and be keeping my bike from running, or strand me on the highway.
I definitely see where you’re coming from and what you’re talking about. I do think the bones of the bike are good and with any modern technology you gotta go through and delete all the stupid safety features that they require manufacturers to put on these bikes, once you narrow it down, I think they’re solid. Thanks for watching!
I ride a 2004 Honda Shadow. I find it revolting that someone put Harley parts on a Honda Shadow. You should be arrested and put into Honda Jail for at least a year. Shame on you...
Jordan I am impressed how far your videos skills have come in such a short time. Well done!
The patients and attention to detail you have. I'm impressed.

Thats some old school modding there Jordan! Like we used to do back in the day! Nicely done.
Very good fabrication Jordan. I am impressed! I like to fabricate stuff but I usually don't get it to look as good as you do. Nice job!
Your mother in law will be so happy with it! Good stuff Jordan! Looking forward seeing the reveal to her.
Interesting mods. You may want to put some kind of filler pieces under the seat to help protect the electronics

Did you have to install longer cables, hose and wires for the handlebar? I had to in my Shadow for the higher handlebar I installed on.
