      @AviationPlus Hey bud, do you plan on making another one of these videos showcasing the intrinsic differences between both Sims?
      I find it so weird how we don't have a DTC to load, how STPTs are always all over the place and frequencies don't follow a realistic preset and lack of realistic briefing screen/place before getting in the pit.
      Coming to DCS from BMS it's absolutely stunning but it all feels like a cheap placeholder yet...

    Hey Prime, will you do a bit of a refresh of your SAM guides now that ECM changed and is more realistic?
    E.g. Should we still toggle the jammer on and off (through the new binds) when a missile is incoming? Should we keep the same habits or learn new ones?

      Please don't. We don't need an ultra graphic for BMS!!!! The F-16 Model can be more detailed maybe, or higher resolution, but even now it looks great. It's a Sim with realistic procedures and the Dynamic Campaign when you are ready as "Pilot". We don't have any issues with frame drops, everything works very well and now VR is there and works nice. If you want this game in Unreal Engine, please install the free DCS and buy F-16 Viper Mod for some bucks (Its worth).
      I hope the BMS Devs will not try to make new graphic, for frat reason? It's about training, about weapon systems and the simulation of war as a combat pilot. I don't care about how the buildings look, I care how to accomplish the task. Actually the terrain looks great, no need to make Google Maps terrain LOL...

    The MFL at the start are spurious faults and just need to be cleared out. It doesn't hurt anything to FLCS reset but it also isn't required to clear anything other than FLCS faults.
    Loading the DTC prior to turning on all systems, including your radios, chaff/flare, etc. is a mistake. Any of that DTC data load on a system not turned on won't be loaded.
    Also you never covered entering of initial coordinates to the INS when you turned it on. I don't recall how picky BMS is for this but on SINS or RLG INS systems that will cause the alignment to fail. Also your description of what happens if you move prior to going into Nav mode is lacking. It isn't that it will just "take longer" the system will have sensed that movement but not being in Nav mode/still aligning the system you have induced an error into the alignment thus the INS system will drift. Yes there is an auto Nav function for those that forget to do this but it has to sense the movement prior to going to auto Nav thus you have still induced drift into the alignment.

    • @AviationPlus
      @AviationPlus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This was not a incremental engine start following the check list step by step. There are plenty of videos on that. I was only pointing out Key Differences vs starting up in DCS.
      You are absolutely correct about not loading your DTC before all of your systems but in BMS that only applies to radios in which I mentioned specifically if you do not have the correct radio frequencies it was because your radios were off you can just load COMMs.
      There is a reason why I did not cover entering initial coordinates because it is not needed in BMS.
      Apologies for not completely explaining the full INS process in my Key Start Differences video so instead I simply said it will take longer.
      Surprised you didn't mention EPU Check, SEC checks, EPU pin and chocks.
