      Only one sardine canning company left out of hundreds in 1945 in Portugal. Personally Portuguese sardines are better than Spanish. Very similar spices and Olive oil, still different somehow. Grilled large sardinhas, on the sidewalks of Lisbon are not food for the poor. We have to enjoy our sardines now. The big companies are feeding millions of tons to salmon and tuna in fishfarms all over.

    Libre naman ninyong nakuha ang tamban sa dagat suguro mas mabuti na dagdagan naman ninyo ang laman nga lata...Yong isang brand na nooy famous eh ang laman parang apat or lima lang na ang nipis ng katawan ng isda. And dami ay sauce lang..Watching Noal in their canning they make it that the one who will purchase their goods will buy it again because its contents is soo full. Unlike dito sa Pinas na mga canned goods pwera lang sa Century tuna yon masikip masyado ang laman ng de lata.. but itong sa amin tinatawag na tinapa huh nag swimming ang mga isda sa sauce...ang liliit ng laman parang sauce lang ang ating binibili...maawa na man kayo sa mga taong bumibili...Huwag lang masyadong mag profit but think also your customers...hardly earned money and then pagkatapos pag magbili ng ulam huh lumalangoy lang sa salsa.

    Question: I thought 121 degrees C is a normal canning temperature for a Botulinum cook. Why do they use 117 degrees C?

    re the sardines caught from the ocean or are they 'farmed?' Anyone know?

    • @reasoningtruth
      @reasoningtruth 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Harry Plummer, I've never heard of farmed sardines. They are too plentiful in the ocean yet, and they are so cheap also. I'm sure it wouldn't be cost-effective like the bigger, more expensive fish like salmon and the like. But you're making me look when I renew my supply. I go through sardines like water!

      @@reasoningtruth Thank you for your reply. The reason I asked was that I saw a fish farm in China and I wouldn't touch their product after seeing the process. Just my opinion of course. Like you I am a sardine lover. Cheers.

      @@harryplummer6356, I have three different brands in the pantry right now and all three brands come from 2 different locations, but all three say "Wild Caught". Chicken Of The Sea is the cheapest one from Poland, but the more expensive ones "King Oscar" and "Season" from Costco are from Morocco.
      I'm a strict label reader because of my healthy keto diet, but I've always been lax on sardines. Outside of sardines, I buy very few things in a package. I have an easy rule I follow closely, if it's in a package, it's NOT natural. After man has processed the whatever food, it is no longer fit for human consumption. It's poison.
      Even our vitamins are 90% poisonous! Do you know what vitamin C from ascorbic acid is? It's sulfuric acid and corn starch. A chemist found out how to make a compound that chemically matches the real ascorbic acid in nature, but the problem is that our bodies during the process of making it useable can only use a very small fraction of it. But if you take more, you get scurvy symptoms! The very thing vitamin C was deemed so important for.
      To get a real vitamin you need to search, "organic, non-synthetic, no GMOs". Then you'll find that C comes from a few berries in its most concentrated form, but bell peppers are easy to get and a cup of those a day will keep you good on C.
      If I ever see a can of sardines canned from China, I'm with you! Eating food out of the gutter would be a better deal. They do scary stuff over there, but so do we!
