He is talking about violent crime. The violent crime in Las Cruces is pretty low compared to the national average. Property crime has definitely gone up for sure.
All the Las Cruces videos talk about the same things. No one tells about the things to do in town, like Stores, Boutiques, Cafe's and Coffee houses, ARTS, Clubs such as Chess, and other clubs and Organizations to attend or join, all the Entertainment options in various categories from theaters to bowling and so much more. Also what about special Cultural events and festivals? All we ever hear about in everyone's videos are the mountains, trails, sceneries and historical sites. Those things are for visitors and not people wanting to know what it would be like and their options living there on a daily basis.
solid point, I think integrating more onsite videos would be amazing. you have me thinking now 🤔 perhaps I can ask my realtor friends if they be willing to collab on something like this!
I'm considering selling my home in Oregon and moving to New Mexico. I was hoping for more options like bowling, theaters, clubs, and nightlife too. Oregon is gorgeous but the long cold rainy, snowy winters are no longer for me. Thank you for this. Very informative. 😊
Very knowledgeable realtor. I currently live in Las Cruces and it’s a great place to live, not only for retirees or college students but also for young families. If you are looking for more entertainment or nightlife it’s a short drive to El Paso!
Nothing much in El Paso or Albuquerque either. Lots of excess crime. We hated LC. There’s no after hours emergency veterinary services. Corruption in police, animal control and other government agencies. Very drab scenery. Very little for kids to do. Only a tiny mall and movie theater. No bowling alley, mini golf etc. Very depressed area. Health care is HORRIBLE (this kid has no idea). Hard to find decent doctors and ANY type of appointments there’s usually 30 day or more wait. Their answer to everything is “go to the ER”! Try Three Crosses Hospital and avoid the other two. This guy talking is toooooooo young to know imo. Few decent stores. Walmart owns the town!!! L. C DOES NOT HAVE ANY MILITARY BASES. WHITE SANDS BASE IS ALMOST AN HOUR AWAY and the Army base is in El Paso. This video is EXTREMELY MISLEADING
I made a chicken and rice soup last week, here in Cali, with new mexican hatch green chiles. I love it! How is the water supply sources and situation? Is solar popular? I think it's called a municipal airport like Santa Monica and Van Nuys. LAX is the worst.
Yes the University puts on plays or events year round, its the center point of most local activity in Cruces. But there are local plays choirs and the renaissance festival is excellent family fun. Lived there for 3 years in college, considering moving back love the area.
which mew home builder are giving blow out deals on new built homes since now it's a buys market and the builders are holding to much inventory, who is giving the very best new home deals?...Let me know...Best wishes.
The interview is nice .The young enterpumuror appears to a resourceful person & honest & sincere about facts . I am presently in Lascruces with my son who runs a pharmacy ,Iam an Indian city . I agree in many points . 👍
I appreciate the relaxed and honest look at Las Cruces in this video. No hype or sales pitches. I traveled widely through New Mexico when I was growing up in the 1960s and on into my young adult years in the early '80s, but I have never been to Las Cruces. I have seen the White Sands area and Carlsbad Caverns and I've been to El Paso. As I am retiring in a few months, I'll add your city to my list of travel ideas.
Yep. I lived off an on in Cruces for the past 20 years ( I lived in Oklahoma and Cruces) The prices and crime have skyrocketed. It was such nice city. It had everything you needed but did not feel so big that it was overwhelming. I had thought about moving back there but Crime is a bit too high for me right now.
@@christopherclarke6642 I even took 2 years of stats yikes! I wonder what my professors would say hehe it's more in the moment in the interviews I freeze up sometimes but onward we go 🙌
I'm currently in the PNW looking to move and it's very cheap comparatively. I can get a nice house in Las Cruces when I can't even afford a house in my area.
15:44 When he said the crime rates were low. Dudes eyes had 'Stop The Cap' written all over it. 😂😂😂

I'm starting to dig NM more than CO. Wish it was a little more colder but it's all good. Any non southern state is great to live in.
Where do you roadtrip to for concerts, museums, etc? Which city? El Paso or ABQ or ?

There’s no place to see good concerts within 3 hours
@@susank9725 Did you just copy and paste this on EVERY video about Las Cruces? Guess that's one way to waste time.

I think it's called a municipal airport like Santa Monica and Van Nuys.
LAX is the worst.
What about 5+ acre properties with 3-5 bedrooms & 3+ bathrooms, side load 3-car garage?
that's a great question, I need to include like small, medium & big sized houses in here or like a list of examples to give a quick idea of the area
We definitely have properties like that for sale currently! Let me know if you would like me to send you a couple homes that meet that criteria!
Are there anything in the area of the performing arts in Las Cruces? Or do I have to go to the University Of New Mexico for that?

The rent $1500/30 days is $50 a day almost two dollars an hour. In Juarez you can rent a house for 250 dollars a month, just comparing.
Comparing Las Cruces, NM to Juarez, MEXICO? that's about as good as analogy as comparing the SUN to the MOON you dope...
is Juarez a safe place to.live?

why do you keep showing pictures of ABQ?
Sadly, local residents are being priced out of the area due to rising costs - rent, fuel, healthcare.

I didn't know Las Cruces was more expensive than Texas. Love Las Cruces thoe, I went there in August, beautiful.
You lost me at mistaking “median” for “medium.”
noooo, we'll have to be more clear about that next time thanks for letting us know!
No problem, and “median” and “average” are also often confused. “Average is actually more helpful when describing affordability.

24:24 You're nuts!!! Everything in Georgia is garbage. And it's not no where near good as Florida or NC. 😂😂😂
Seems that you would like to say the truth that Las Cruces is an expensive location to live but you must follow your narrative and make it look cheap.
it's all relative, compared to California it's affordable but compared to say certain parts of Ohio or Wyoming it's way more expensive
There’s no narrative, but if you’re ever in town we would love to show you around!
