Why are there only 3 keys for the Nuki Universal Cylinder with the Nuki Ultra? I need 5 here, just like the single set of the Nuki Universal Cylinder comes with. Can I order 2 more keys for free, e.g. with a voucher? There are also 5 security keys in circulation for my old Nuki and the single set also has 5 keys in the Nuki Shop. It would be nice to find a solution before the sales start.
Thanks for the answer: the standard version for a cylinder is 5 keys -- just as the cylinder is sold individually in the Nuki shop. This would increase the purchase price of 349€ by around 40€ and that with a "forced conversion" of the cylinder
I don't get why people are so focused on the Apple Home key at all, it is basically of no use, especially for the Nuki. The Nuki Lock is the only one that offers the Auto-Unlock function which is by far the most useful feature, you don't need to do anything, the door is just opening when you come home automatically without the need of getting any device out or doing anything at all. For 2 years I am using Nuki now & I didnt have to interact with my door or a device at all since ... and everytime I experience this convenience it makes my day a tiny bit better. Only if you are e.g. bringing out the trash I understand it can be useful but when you have the fingerprint keypad there is again no need for homekey at all. But that's just my opinion & experience :)
Having used a Nuki with auto-unlock and the Aqara with HomeKey I think where it makes a big difference for me is that my door has a latch mode so it can be locked, unlocked or latched and if you were putting out the recycling you'd have to open the Nuki app to toggle the open mode whereas the Aqara HomeKey scanner will always unlock or drop the latch if you're coming from the outside. But you're right, at the end of the day it's down to what works for individuals 🙂
I would love to have Apple Homekey but it is not the end of the day. I can see how convenience with Homekey but living in UK, I hate to have a NFC reader or numpad sticking on the outside.
This may explain why Nuki offered me an incredibly generous discount on a new model when my Nuki 2.0 died after 5 years... Still at least I have something to look forward to in another 5 years time 😂
I have a nuki4 already with the Ultion handle which incorporates the lock into one unit. This looks like it isn’t centred at the uk market with lift to lock upvc doors, how would it sit on a door handle surround. I think they have missed a trick here and should of concentrated their efforts on apple support and not a new lock
I’d be surprised if Nuki compromise compatibility with this…with it coming with their own cylinder I wonder if it will attach to that which means it might work with any handle…I reckon we’ll hear something about HomeKey one way or another by the end of the year too
@@MarksTechVlogs I emailed Ultion today and they confimed will be releasing a kit with handle next year some time as for homekit sure i saw that Nuki on there facebook page might happen but going with the Aliro protocol

I don't know why only three but their launch post says 'You can always order new copies with the security card included in the box.'

Can you do a Nuki Ultra vs Switchbot lock pro?
When I get my hands on the Ultra I'll do a comparison video of all the retrofit smart locks 🙂
Too many TH-camrs use that stock into music Mark. I think your channel is good though mate.

Returned the 4.0, waiting on the Ultra 🔥. Insane mode is a major W. Device is pricey though.
Yeah although when it contains a new cylinder too I don’t think it’s a crazy price
No fallback failsafe...
You can still use a key from the outside
