I think it's actually physically impossible for transphobes to argue in good faith, I've never seen a single one
There was one on this channel recently, but he wasn't intentionally transphobic. He's from the Caribbean and we are raised to dislike LGBT folk. There's some people out there that can be educated.

It's because their argument doesn't have an actual backbone. They'd be better off arguing on the basis that they just think it's gross. I disagree with that, but at least they'd be able to argue in good faith.
As soon as someone says "All this garbage that's popped up in the last 10 years" you know you can just disregard all their opinions on trans people
Yeah the T in lgbt was there since the start. Conservatives just discovered them in the last couple years it seems but they've always been there. It's because their leaders lost the war on homosexual marriage so they're trying to attack targets they think are easier.

I always find the question "so if I woke up tomorrow and said I was a woman, would I be?" to be absolutely fascinating, because it gives the game away too much. The follow up should be "well if you said that, would it be true?" And invariably, they say "it doesn't matter". To these people, TRUTH DOESN'T MATTER. Whether or not it's accurate doesn't factor to them. Makes all their cries about "telling the truth" ring hollow

This caller seemed to be asking genuine questions at the beginning, but he got frustrated after about ten minutes, then he got upset that he wasn't understanding the conversation.
And their ego is so huge that they can’t admit it
The propaganda is really effective. The ruling class has convinced them that progressives are taking everything away from them. It works, because they are in fact struggling and angry about it and want someone to blame. But they've been convinced that "others" in their same class are the ones who are to blame as a distraction so they don't realize that the actual ones to blame are the people feeding them the propaganda.
The bones and chromosome argument is so annoying.
This guy didn't see Jovan's bones or chromosomes before assuming Jovan is a man.
He looked at Jovan's outward appearance and made a guess.
Just like everyone does every day.
No one is looking at chromosomes.
Further, lots of us don't know what our own sex chromosomes are. My school stopped having students do karyotyping on their own blood because surprises do happen.
The bones argument is especially stupid, considering I don't think any trans person is going to give a shit about their bones 100 years from now. The whole point is to respect and validate people WHILE THEY'RE ALIVE.

I think the best response to someone who disingenuously does the "I identify as an attack helicopter" thing is say "Ok, sure, what does that mean to you?" Of course they have no response, because it doesn't mean anything to them. Which is the whole point - it's not the same thing at all as those for whom their stated gender identity actually means something to them. But people like this can't grasp that because they are severely lacking empathy

It respect the pronouns and whatever silly name he came up with, but only because I think the joke would wear thin pretty quickly and he'd get annoyed in like 5 minutes and maybe being misgendered would make him realise how much it sucks
Saying "people can live how they wanna live" doesn't then absolve you from being a bigot. It's like saying "I'm not a racist but" or "no offense but" and then saying some bs. It's like he forgets mid conversation that he has been calling being trans "fucking garbage" throughout the debate

Amazing how poor these arguments always are. Always the same talking points that are given by their leaders they listen to, always angry when their argument breaks down and can't be supported by any fact. Come on kids, why can't you just listen to others and learn something? It is okay if you don't know everything, I sure didn't and it took me 31 years to figure out I wasn't listening to people, 34 years to figure out I was on the wrong side, and 37 years to figure out I am trans. None of that would have happened had I not openly looked at what others were saying and understood that I don't know everything.

I do believe at 21:25 he was about to say "every animal [is XY sex determined]," which is factually incorrect. Hell, he's technically wrong about "every mammal [is XY sex determined]."

If I know someone who only eats vanilla ice cream, and has made statements that would lead me to believe they like vanilla ice cream, I will not believe them when they tell me they hate vanilla ice cream. It will take some strong convincing to make me believe otherwise, especially if they freaking tell me how they will lie to me.
That is how this caller sounds. I believe people on face value for reasonable claims unless they give me reason not to. Its very easy to understand, unless you have an inherit aversion to learning more then a misunderstood and basic concept of something. Which just so happens to be most bigots. Color me surprised

Love the debate, but i actually know of a better response to people who say "i identify as x." Just refer to them as their identity and ask them how they figured out they're trans along with their journey and ask them if they came out with their parents, etc. Eventually, they'll have to say that they aren't actually trans.

Why do you think something as complex as the human mind would be so simple that everyone of the same sex experience gender the same way? You really have an extremely simplistic view of how our brains work if you think that. Some people don't experience gender the same way as others of their same sex, and have an experience much more like those of a different sex. There's tons of scientific evidence that this happens.
