I live in New York now but was born and raised in the New Orleans area (Versailles and then the Westbank), and I'm still surprised people are shocked by her accent or had some issues understanding her. I couldn't hear a more natural sounding voice. Made me homesick.

I watched this video and got so many ideas. I went for Essence 2019, Neyow's was PACKED so we went to the spot next door which is the ex of Neyow. The food was very good.
I am a traveler, many places I have been to are 1 and done's but there is a short list of go backs. The go backs are places that draw you back for several reasons, those reasons being the food, the vibe, the people, diversity of culture, fun, beauty, feeling that there would be more gotten from another trip & etc..Been to NOLA before and always wanted to go back because it ticks all the go back boxes. The local guide reminded me why I liked New Orleans and why I have to go back. In Europe my go backs are Prague, Florence and Paris.
I'm Cajun, originally from a rural tow in Southwest Louisiana (Almost in the center of Acadian Country). I love my Cajun roots, but I am in love and savor the Creole culture of New Orleans (The people, the food, the history, the architecture, etc...). What can I say - Go Cups = Awesome, Jazz = I only clap, snap, or stomp on the 2 & 4, the people are the friendliest in the south and I was born in Cajun country where lagniappe is the rule of hospitality, raised in Texas where the ranchers and farmers kids I went to school with were all in FFA and everyone waives to everyone driving around town...but, New Orleans is the King of hospitality. The history is a rich "gumbo" that is unparalleled, the architecture is unique whether you have the Spanish and French influence in the French Quarter and other areas east of Canal St. and the antebellum south, Georgian inspired architecture of the American sector west of Canal St. (Uptown), sitting by the river whether its by Jackson Square/the Old Jax Brewery or Audubon Park, the lake shore, City Park, second lining, there is no place like it. If I click my heels together and say, "There's no place like New Orleans" 3 times in a row, maybe I'll wake up there? One can only dream!
happiness, beauty, art, soul & love - all of that seems to show in the people and the food there - gotta get there sooner than possible ;-) hope you all are well !

I went to New Orleans for 5 days on the last day there we finally went to the French Market the food was better than any restaurant I went to and it was cheaper
I love New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina made me very sad. Having visited the tomb of Marie Laveau I left a token and mark knowing I would have to return and I have and will continue to do so. Such beautiful people, music and the gala known as food. A real American jewel.
I lived a few houses down from Neyows for almost 2 years. Moved on Urselines a few months ago. You could truly go to a corner store here and get great food! Rays on the ave on Broad St is definitely worth a visit. Best food I've ever had
My friends and I just got back from Mardi Gras 2022, and i agree, the French Market is really cool. We went to Elizabeth's for the French Toast Burrito, specifically because of this video, and OMG some of the best breakfast we have eaten in our lives! Everyone should go to Elizabeth's!!

Bourbon is pretty awful.... BUT.... it has Fritzels European Jazz which is one of my absolute fav places. It's really out of place, in a good way.

The local guide reminded me why I liked New Orleans and why I have to go back. In Europe my go backs are Prague, Florence and Paris.

I'm Cajun, originally from a rural tow in Southwest Louisiana (Almost in the center of Acadian Country). I love my Cajun roots, but I am in love and savor the Creole culture of New Orleans (The people, the food, the history, the architecture, etc...). What can I say - Go Cups = Awesome, Jazz = I only clap, snap, or stomp on the 2 & 4, the people are the friendliest in the south and I was born in Cajun country where lagniappe is the rule of hospitality, raised in Texas where the ranchers and farmers kids I went to school with were all in FFA and everyone waives to everyone driving around town...but, New Orleans is the King of hospitality. The history is a rich "gumbo" that is unparalleled, the architecture is unique whether you have the Spanish and French influence in the French Quarter and other areas east of Canal St. and the antebellum south, Georgian inspired architecture of the American sector west of Canal St. (Uptown), sitting by the river whether its by Jackson Square/the Old Jax Brewery or Audubon Park, the lake shore, City Park, second lining, there is no place like it. If I click my heels together and say, "There's no place like New Orleans" 3 times in a row, maybe I'll wake up there? One can only dream!

I went to New Orleans for 5 days on the last day there we finally went to the French Market the food was better than any restaurant I went to and it was cheaper
I love New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina made me very sad. Having visited the tomb of Marie Laveau I left a token and mark knowing I would have to return and I have and will continue to do so. Such beautiful people, music and the gala known as food. A real American jewel.
I lived a few houses down from Neyows for almost 2 years. Moved on Urselines a few months ago. You could truly go to a corner store here and get great food! Rays on the ave on Broad St is definitely worth a visit. Best food I've ever had

My friends and I just got back from Mardi Gras 2022, and i agree, the French Market is really cool. We went to Elizabeth's for the French Toast Burrito, specifically because of this video, and OMG some of the best breakfast we have eaten in our lives! Everyone should go to Elizabeth's!!
