Yes, a great way to cut strips! I’ve used this size and a few others for strips! I,love my Accuquilt maxhines and dies!! Another way to cut perfect strips is the Stripology ruler.
1:39 -- "Just for side reference, here is what the fabric waste will look like on a jelly roll versus a layer cake." -- The visual was so helpful in determining which precut to start with. Thank you. 🤔🤩😄
Thank you for showing options! I am in the midst of doing a log cabin pattern that you had demonstrated a while back with a larger square as the base (takes the place of the two 2 1/2” squares with the 4 1/2” square). I love both patterns! Thank you!❤
This quilt is beautiful. Although I love the scrappy versions of this log cabin pattern, I’m definitely smitten with this one!!! Going to cut loose one of my jelly rolls to make one. So thankful you made this version and shared it with us quilters ‘out here’s. Wonderful way to start my day! Hugs from Maine.
This is awesome! I love as always wondering how make a log cabin block and couldn’t wrap my head around the jelly roll. And to be able to use a layer cake? Bonus in my book!
Looks great, could those small pieces be used to assemble houses on a quilt …. have you ever sewn one of these with leftovers? You use such beautiful bright material, could you be tempted to do a tutorial on a house quilt?
Another wonderful pattern! So pretty and love that we can use jelly rolls or layer cakes. Thanks so much!!❤
I love how you showed the difference between the 10" sq and the jelly roll strip. Really cool!
I will have to move this pattern up my to do list. I LOVE it!!
I like how there is so little waste. I'm going to cut my layer cake on my 2 1/2 Accuquilt die. Thank you for such good instructions. ❤
