I literally cheered out loud when I saw a new video pop up using 2 1/2” scrap strips! I’ve bin binge watching all the videos in this series on repeat while he waiting for a new one.🎉 Now to watch.
I never get tired of these videos, Shelley! Are you nearly caught up or can we expect more videos for the next couple of years??!! 😍😍😍😍 Thanks so much!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Well, I see at the end you did a summary. Wow!! You must REALLY have a sense of accomplishment, Shelley! This is really great! Well done!!! 🥰
Very interesting quilts,it gives me some ideas for some quilts for my nephews. They have just lost the quilts in a fire which I had made them when the were born. Good projects for the New Year. Thank you very much❤❤
This has been such a fun series! Thank you so much for sharing your process, creativity, helpful tips, and fun designs! Your voice is always friendly, kind, and optimistic, and I really did look forward to finding a new one to watch.
Gracias por estos vídeos, me gusta ver una y otra vez ya que también tengo mucho relación de tela para hacer colchas. Solo le pediría algunas medidas. Gracias desde Lima Perú
I wish this series and the others could go on forever. I was so happy to see this new video. I am glad that with the miracle of TH-cam I can go back any time and watch these again. Thanks for a great new video!
Fantastic series. So practical and I did the same thing only with my 2" strips (no videos, however...just blog posts). So far I've made close to 80 using my 2" strips. :) I love this series.
I am really enjoying your 2.5 inch scrap series! My friend and I are planning to make quilts for the NICU where my granddaughter was a patient for 67 days back in 2018, and this pattern just made my list.
You have accomplished a HUGE difference from where you started in 2023 to where your fabric management is today. Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉 I love all of your series no matter what pre-cut you happen to be focusing on during that video. Thank you very much. I know it’s a lot of work on your end. 🤩🤩🤩
You are an inspiration!! I have 3 bins of scraps some of which are several years old. I just can’t part with scraps!! Now I have a plan and am cutting pieces for two different quilts. Hopefully I’ll be able to make 2025 a true year of organizational success!! Thank you for the series!!
I love these videos! This will help me be more organized and organized and focused and productive! Thank you! You are the BEST!! I’ll be watching these over and over to get it right! ❤
This has been so much fun to watch your scrap bins get eliminated by making all those beautiful quilts! I’m a scrappy quilter, so this is my jam❤️ I hope in the end you have a quilt parade, bring them all together for a great show! (KH)
I've watched this whole series even though I don't have any 2 1/2" strips. I really like the result of these blocks. I make lap robes and wheelchair lap robes for donation and I think I can cut enough blocks from my scraps to make several. Thanks for sharing your great ideas.
I cut my binding at 2-1/2 inches and always have extra leftover. This was a perfect pattern to use up those leftovers and possibly one my favorite projects!
I love this series ... So COOL! The only change I would make would be to set the blocks in a sashing. The block-on-block look is just way too twitchy for my poor cataracts. It would be fun to cut the sashing just 1 1/2" so that the finished sashing is just 1" wide, and use either black or dark grey. It would give the blocks a kind of "Outlined in crayon" look
This has been an enjoyable series and has encouraged me to keep sewing my stash I did not do as well as u did for totals but I did complete 6 with 2 left to quilt ..definitely a win win .... thanks for the encouragement...
Thank you for your video. This is a really fun block to make, as I have a lot of full and partial 2 1/2" strips. Whenever I am cutting up scrap strips, I will cut some of these blocks. I've been using them as leaders and enders, and I have quite a stack now.
These videos have been so helpful is giving me ideas of how to use my scraps. This one in particularly easy. I had already started this project about a month ago. I'm anxious to see how much of a dent it makes on my scraps pile. Thanks for sharing your scraps reduction journey with us and congratulations on going from 7 boxes to two!
Very inspiring! Sometimes the fabric “leftovers “ can seem so daunting but your delightful easy to watch videos make organization and the actual use of these leftovers far less so. I admire you so much! Thank you
Just recommended this series on another TH-cam quilting channel. So many great ideas and so fun to watch the progress made on this large batch of scraps!
I love these 2.5" scrap strips series! I don't quilt OR have 2.5" scrap strips but I love to see what you do and the progress of your scrap containers getting smaller! Can't wait for the next one!
Shelly, thank you for that tip on the quarter turn! 10:50 I have made the block ‘square in a square’ ; would have loved that tip instead of laying out a row of blocks first, if you are random sewing.
Incredible work!. I'm enjoying the strip series. I don't have a lot of other precuts so this collection of vidros has been a favorite. Im trying to keep up with the new series but find myself rewatching the strip ones. Thanks for the fun journey.
I REALLY LIKE THE 2.5" scrap series. Was pleasantly surprised to find a new one in my feed. HOORAY !!!
Another winner. Thanks
