One day I will visit The USA with an empty suitcase and come to se you and other quilt shops and go home with a full heart and suitcase. I love sewing big quilts. Love from Britt, Copenhagen Denmark
How beautiful. I am 85 years old- love, love quilts. Always said I wanted to make one before I died, but not likely. All of you dedicated quilters are just Amazing. Love watching you.
Shirley Sarradet Hi Shirley, your post touched me, so I just had to message you. I am a member of a quilting group and we have quite a few ladies over 80 years young who have a wealth of knowledge to pass to us youngsters (70 years plus) ha ha. Of course we cannot meet at the moment and don’t think we will see each other again this year but hopefully things will get better soon.😊
Certainly you can. There are numerous super simple 2 and 3 color quilt patterns you can make in 1 to 2 days. They look difficult but are not. Google Donna Jordan, quilting. I could teach you by phone in 10 minutes. GOD bless.
My mom is 101 yrs old. Until her mid 90s she sewed daily. Her later contributions were charity quilts, lap quilts for nursing homes or baby quilts for missions. I hope to carry on her legacy.
I have just taken delivery of my second order of Batiks jelly roll, and a length of batik fabric from Jordan fabric. It is absolutely beautiful, very colourful, good quality. Just trying to decide on a pattern. The delivery arrived 1 week earlier than quoted. Very prompt service, very good quality. Will definitely order again soon 😊
Want to Thank you for all your great knowledge and videos. I have learned so much from you. I’m 65 years old and just started making quilts but have also sewn. The couple I have made so far have turned out great.
It was really helpful to show the chain piecing of block 1, then add block 2, etc. I love log cabin blocks but they take me forever because I do them one at a time. I will chain piece them from now on. Thanks!
Back in the ‘70’s Eleanor Burns started a whole movement with her Log Cabin quilt and ripping strips into 2 1/2 inch strips. With the Jelly Rolls this is already done for you and you have very little waste. Made at least 5 of these quilts in the ‘70’s.
We have a lot to thank those early quilters for. They are the reason quilting is enjoying a revival. I started my quilt journey in the late 80's and still going strong.
I bought my fabric in Tulsa February 2020. My husband and I visited USA. I watched Marks tutorials. And this is the resultat. Jeanette, Sandefjord, Norway

There are over 400 comments so far. I've not read all of them. I have a suggestion to save one step in cutting. Sew together the 2 strips that you're cutting into 2.5" squares. That way you won't lose any small squares (yes from personal experience). Once sewn together, keep strip closed and cut into 2.5" squares. Center is done. You can press sewn strip first before cutting to relax strip if you want. I've done this and it turned out fine.
I want to thank you for all the fun I have had catching up with your super videos. You are an excellent instructor. It is great that people are still getting so much use from a video you posted almost three years ago. Archiving greatness!! I have also been loving every single fabric and pre-cut that I bought online from your fabulous store. Thanks so much.

Amazing teacher you are! I’m inspired as I love this pattern. My grandma made the wedding ring pattern, and my sister used it until it fell apart, 30 years later. Your tutorials are great ... the extra little hints to make it not only easier, but better are great. Love to see a video on the curved log cabin and put it on point.
L❤️ve everything I’ve seen so far in your channel. You make it look so simple. Thank you for your tips on how to make our lives a lot easier. Just saw another person’s channel and she was showing how to make a fold on a placemat and when I saw it was the way you showed, I said to my self “ that’s the way Jordan fabrics does it. She said she had gotten it from you and gave you props on it… thought you’d like that.
I love your Videos. I have been fashion sewing for 55 years. Now addicted to quilting. I find it way more relaxing. I am a perfectionist like you. I follow you perfectly. I love your exact cutting as I feel the same way. Also your adorable and me and hubby love your videos . Oh and tell Matt love the tunes. !!!! Your sewing techniques are the BEST on U Tube. I would Love to be able to work in a work shop like yours. Oh I gave up fashion sewing. Done. Now just can't get enough of quilting. Oh I got my 5 lb weight out. Kinda wondering why I never used my creativeness and did this. Donna every time I use my fingernail to finger press I think of you. LOL. Take care from Texas
Thank you for your kind words! I also started out sewing clothes (on a Singer Featherweight) and switched to quilts when I was about 19 years old and haven't looked back.
Jordan Fabrics Rocks!!! The informative videos have great tips, creative ideas & are helpful to any level of sewist. I love the patterns, calm explanations & details when working with fabric. So appreciate having your wealth of expertise at my fingertips❤️ thank you!
This method is absolutely brilliant. I cut and pieced 12 blocks in ONE afternoon and had enough left to make at least one more block for a cushion front. I totally recommend this especially for beginners but also for practicing accurate seam allowances.😍😍😍🤗 Thank you so much.

Another great video! Your videos have helped me to be a better quilter because you've made me much more conscious of accuracy in cutting, sewing, and ironing. There's always more to learn, and Donna, you are a great teacher!

Thank you Donna for all your wonderful tutorials . I've learned so much from you ,let me say this you make quilting look so easy. However each step is so important. I tried locating this pattern on your site but couldn't find it . Blame it on my lack of computer skills. Keep up the good work.
I bought a jelly roll in June and have just plucked up the courage to cut it up to make the log cabin squares. So far, so good- the ironing technique is great and I’m now ready to sew them together. Looking good, and love all of your tutorials. Please keep up the good work. A huge fan in Wales🏴 x
I’ve always loved this quilt design but was under the impression it was hard to make. Having watched your tutorial, you’ve inspired to add this to my to make list. Thank you.
Hi Donna and Matt I’m a big fan of your tutorials I think I have watched them all now but I have to admit I re watch them over and over as I love them so much. With the log cabin quilt I’m wondering if at sometime you could show how to arrange the blocks differently to create different patterns. You ask also for us to put what we would like to see and I’m wondering if you could do a wedding ring quilt tutorial my 50th wedding anniversary is coming up and I think it would be a wonderful quilt to do as a gift to my very special Husband who is Amazing Thank you Marilyn
Donna this more modern quilt is really beautiful and the more traditional batiks purple and bleu one really caught my imagination on the fact that it becomes so different just in it’s disposal of lights and darks. Thank you so much for all these wonderful videos. I am anxious to be able to work at quilting because at our cottage, 3 hours drive and another 20 minutes from our warf to the cottage there is no electricity but the other side is that it is very quiet. So see you next time on one of your wonderful videos. Roseline from Québec. PS We are going to visit our son in august for which I bought a quilt from you for his birthday in March. Ocean Blue.
I love how fast this quilt is made. I think it would make a great "guy" quilt with some rich darker tones. Thanks for sharing. You always make it look so easy.
Hi Donna, your videos are so easy to follow. You make sewing these quilts so easy. Thank you. I would like to see you make Ocean Current from The Quilt Factory.

WOW! I have made several log cabin quilts and I thought I had streamlined the process, but you made it sooooo easy from cutting to sewing to ironing. I have never used a jelly roll set, always cut individual pieces, but I will definitely be trying this. thank you so much. your quilts are so beautiful.

Thank you.
Thank you for making the Log Cabin so easy to follow. It’s a favorite
Hi Donna and Matt
I’m a big fan of your tutorials I think I have watched them all now but I have to admit I re watch them over and over as I love them so much.
With the log cabin quilt I’m wondering if at sometime you could show how to arrange the blocks differently to create different patterns.
You ask also for us to put what we would like to see and I’m wondering if you could do a wedding ring quilt tutorial my 50th wedding anniversary is coming up and I think it would be a wonderful quilt to do as a gift to my very special Husband who is Amazing
Thank you Marilyn
Ocean Blue.
Thank you so much Roseline! Your cottage sounds so peaceful!
Loved watching this quilt being put together. Thanks for the tutorial.
I love your team. The editing is so good, i love watching your stitching, especially the cutting, crisp.

Beautiful fabric and pattern-good to see no need to trim down and VERY little waste. :)
I love watching your videos! So straightforward and clear! Thank you, Donna. The Log Cabin remains my favorite pattern, after all these years. Great instruction on using a jelly roll to do a Log Cabin Quilt!
you're videos are giving me so much confidence to make more and do more!!! i'm soooo glad i found you!!
WOW! I have made several log cabin quilts and I thought I had streamlined the process, but you made it sooooo easy from cutting to sewing to ironing. I have never used a jelly roll set, always cut individual pieces, but I will definitely be trying this. thank you so much. your quilts are so beautiful.
I really enjoy watching you.
