Welcome back! You have been missed! Thank you for sharing another super fun quilt - your projects are always wonderful and I'm making this one immediately!
Look how many people have missed you! Me too. :-) Your videos are extra professional. I check almost everyday to see if there’s something new out on your great channel. Thank you!
So pleased you’re back, you’ve been missed: hope the hand issue is resolved and all is well. And thank you for another beginner-friendly pattern which turns out so interesting to look at.
Hello - Unrelated to this specific pattern - I’m trying to make one of your layer cake quilts where I have to sew around the entire perimeter and then cut into 4 HSTs. I’m using a Robert Kaufman artisan batik layer cake and it’s very frustrating because they are not perfectly square with each other. I feel like I need to trim them down first but I don’t think you do in your videos???
If they are cut poorly then I'll square them first. Otherwise, I'll trim as I go. So as an example with the HST you are making, I'd create them by sewing around the perimeter and turning them into HST. Then at that time, squared up the half-square triangle before moving on. But, sometimes I don't feel the need to do so if the pattern is simple. If it's complex or has many seams then I'll focus more on 100% accuracy. 🤗 Hopefully, that helps.
@@MoonkinStitchery ok. If they’re close, I’ll sew, but the first two I went to sew were off 1/4” (one was cut 10” the other 10.25) so in that case, I trimmed. Thanks!
can you please give us the amount of material we need to do a throw, twin, queen sizes like you usually do thank you because I am a beginner in quilting
