I literally never make a character without this and Mysticism. Making a Jump 100pts for 1 second and Slowfall 1pt for 30seconds on self effect is THE way to travel on Vvardenfell :D
You can make a 1 point on target levitation spell and use it as a slow spell. You can make a 1 point on target levitation with a 1 second duration to knock enemies out of the sky. They basically have constant effect levitation so the 1 sec lev overites theirs and so they plummet a second later. Works on cliff racers.
Part of me thinks its a bummer how when you get really intense jump magnitudes that you run into so many "loading area" prompts, but on the flip side, it kind of highlights the fact that you're practically breaking the intended confines of the game, which is kinda cool in and of itself.
Great video, as usual! Levitation will stay at the same speed even when you're swimming and diving, so it's a more flexible way to speed up in water than swift swim. Good choice for some more complex "water dungeons" with caves and passages above the water.
I agree! It would have been cool to see more of the Morrowind spell repetoire get the flashy graphical upgrades with Skyrim. Maybe they'll bring back some more spells for TES6, or at least add more, especially if they take away all the new stuff added from Dragon Shouts
I love the variety of spells in morrowind, even the more useless spells are great for role-playing Id totally make a Argonian character that had swift swimming for instance just to roleplay
Hey Lyle, These are excellent videos. I'm trying to build a table for efficient spell casting. Keen if you have any resources to have a look. Also, these are excellent. Would be great to see you complete the schools of magic.
I like Feather in Morrowind because it reduces your current carry weight opposed to increasing your maximum. I'm the type of player that wants to carry as little as needed instead of as much as possible.
Get 200 pts speed buff from boots of blinding speed, avoid blind effect through various means, make a levitation spell of 1 point for 120 seconds (dirt cheap to make and cast, OR use enchantment to get constant effect of one point) and fly anywhere and everywhere at high speeds. Also hostile npcs without ranged attacks will just run away from you, cool side effect.
Excellent mechanics video as usual Lyle. :) You helped me realize I waste a lot of points on slowfall because I get constant effects higher than 1 usually simply to avoid fall damage, so thank you. I shall add it on an amulet or something instead of wasting an entire belt. I like to use feather potions instead of fortify strength because the ingredients are cheaper and the effect lets me carry more and lasts lots longer. At .1 a bottle weight for Heather and Scuttle potions, it can't be beat for dungeon diving. (I always carry a lot of gear and am a treasure stealer and hoarder in my playthroughs. lol) And I always make a pair of exquisite "pants of probing" at 100 strength for lock-picking so I don't have to carry picks. lol
Thanks for the kind words! Absolutely agree on the feather potions. Works well too since they'll keep going up in duration and strength as you level alchemy and intelligence. Alcohol (sujamma especially) works great in the early game if you don't mind the debuffs since it's all over the place and cheap from vendors. That said, I know some folks like to roleplay their characters as being non-alcoholic or avoiding other narcotics.
just one point of slowfall is something I still didn't know, to negate all fall damage.. that's amazing.. just one point in 'constant effect' on something ,added to something you already enchant, which will add jack all to the cost of enchanting it.. is... quite frankly indispensable. I'm amazed I still learned something. So now I will enchant the 'escarian shoes' of constant effect slow fall 1' so I can use the icerian flight scrolls. I still cannot spell that word, hence why I spelt it two different ways.

I had been putting them off for a while to work on a few other projects and then just as I'd finished scripting and recording audio for the next one, I started having computer trouble. Thankfully it's all fixed up now. Just playing catch-up with my other videos to have a decent buffer in case I get sick or anything like that ;)
