This is simply awesome. I have seen very few people even attempt to explain this sort of thing. They often do a horrible job of explaining it because they don't seem to fully understand it. He does a great thing here. It's not a cut and dried process. It takes work to break the cycle of reactive emotions and thoughts. Giving energy to alternate neural network s instead of playing the game they demand is the right way to go. This is how you overcome negative emotion.
A man of true wisdom. Enlightened indeed. If the world world were to listen to his teachings, imagine what the world would be like? Blessings and love to all.
Dear Mingyur Rinpoche, I am Indian/Hindu and I am really appreciating your instructions. Thank you so much! You are a super good instructor. You are explaining very simple and clearly and the lessons are so very effective and working. Much respect and gratitude for you! 🙏 Pranams, dear Rinpoche. 📿🕉🙏 Jai Guru Dev!!! 🙏🕉📿

Don't jump into the river (of emotions) and be carried away (by it). You can't stop the river either. So, just WATCH the river. Power of awareness. Mindful of how the body feels. Practise to extend the time between the rise of emotion and impulsive action.
Thank you for this video. Great analogies and such an inspiring and hopeful tone. I recently became aware of just how much difficult emotions were impacting my life and relationships. I have a pattern of feeling foggy, confused and helpless when swept away with difficult thoughts and the strong emotions that follow them. Against my best intentions, I find myself getting caught up on the same things time and time again, suffering even more because I so badly do not want the cycle to continue. This is such an important topic and I feel it should be taught to children, too. It is going to take practice, but I can not think of a more deserving goal. Thank you 💛🙏
Thank you so much for this very clear guide 💗 ive been practicing watching this experience, but hadn't known that the shift in focus between the different points would help. That was very helpful, thank you.

sir will you please make a video for breakup motivation .🙂
It´s the same. Emotions is emotions, no matter what they are about.
Learn to forgive. It is very easy. And see your break up and relation as one chapter of a book.
Personally, I find that the ability to forgive is not always easy. Generally, forgiving is an act worth striving toward, no doubt.
Hm so we shouldn't watch the emotion? I thought we are supposed to feel it to heal it.
