    Great review . The Brother company really deserves to blow its competition out of the marketplace with this line of Inkinvestment line of products
    Epson, HP and Canon among others have screwed their customers long enough with ridiculously priced micro ink vessels, particular when you buy their product and they are supplied with only partially filled demo ink cartridges which will have you forking out for new ink at nearly the price of the actual printer in no time.
    Not only is Brother introducing a far more courteous, full ink solution out of the box but the product is a class act that is fully featured, nicely styled and aggressively priced.
    Go with this offering you will only be impressed.

    Good review. I just replaced my 10 year old Brother WiFi printer that has been faultless till the yellow head failed. Tried cleaning fluid etc but it was cactus. I checked a review of Best Home/Small Office printers for 2022 & the MFC-4335DW came out on top. The MFC-4440DW is an upgrade of that & your review was thorough & relevant. I was happy with my old printer except it did not have duplex printing or a document feeder so those were the main requirements. But the features and huge number of options is brilliant. I guess that's what 10 years of web & mobile use has provided. Setup was a breeze. I especially like the NFC function & multiple PDF options. Offerings from HP, Lexmark, Epson & Canon for the same or over $100.00 more were nowhere near as good functionally, (as well as the warranty) slower print speed, and their ink tank functions do not get a good rap. I produce reports etc for 2 clubs & a body corporate so the inks should last easily a year.

      Thanks Corindikev, I think this is what draws people to Brother, bulletproof reliability (let's hope this is still the same in 2022). And now with the inkvestment tanks, let's also hope they last as long as they say, and I hope you get your 1 year out of them as well! All the best with it

    I have a problem with the first installation of the printer. Everything was fine until the first printing quality (in your video it is 4:37 minutes). Every time it starts to print, it gives a warning about a jammed paper (the paper is not jammed, it just stops when it needs to be inserted under the printer's head). I tried different quality of paper but the result is the same. What should I do about it. Is it a factory error or something else?The printer is Brother MFC-J4540DW

    Great review. Just got mine and wondering if you've seen a setting for dual sided scanning? It's not a duplex scanner but surely there's a feature to feed in documents, flip then the software reorder the images?

      I believe it can only do 1 sided scanning based on Brother's website

    Thank you for your helpful review, my old Brother died and didn't really didn't want to buy anything else but couldn't find a printer in my price range that did what I wanted until I saw this review and then did more reseach on it. I am having a problem though with the WiFi , the printer isn't accepting the password so I tried the big long key and that hasn't worked either, I will make some phone calls tomorrow, I do have another question and that is I will be useing my PC to print not my phone or iPad so do I install the app on my PC or install drivers but wouldn't I need a cable if I had drivers, I cannot see anyhere in the information sheet about it, Thank you

      Happy to help :) Not sure about the WiFi issue, try reset it from the beginning. As for using on your PC, you cannot connect via cable to your PC, so best to install drivers and print wirelessly.

    Great Video! Thanks for this - i'm just looking for a new printer. I bought a Canon recently and the print quality was terrible. How is the black print quality?

    • @tech.reviews
      @tech.reviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not bad, not as good as a photo printer would be if you're looking for those high end photo shots. But I have no issues with the quality (but again I'm not that picky!)

    I used to have an Epson wifi printer for over seven years, it broke down, so I thought I'd go for a printer that had cheaper ink, and chose the Brother MFC J4440DW Ivestment Tank, and WOW! what an experience at setting up WiFi ! I seemed to hit every obstacle and hindrance that could be, and then some. I started corrections by the old favourite of unplugging power supply , and then unplugging router, neither improved the situation, I eventually got connected, and then started having trouble with Windows11.Then when things started picking up, the next day things started to go wrong again. I seem to have to start up from scratch every time I want to connect to Wifi, though I do have the USB cable but it niggles me that there should be something so frustrating as this WiFi connection problem when the quick start guide looks so simple. My password for WiFi is long and complex which does not hel so I looked for using pin instead, what? more problems, Yes! certainly my most frustrating experience with computers, ever. What little printing I've done, when it works in the short wifi connection, seems to be satisfactory.

    • @tech.reviews

      Hi Adrian, it's still going quite well and minimal complaints. The only issue is that it has a tendency to disconnect from the Wi-Fi, but this may be my own home internet issue. Other than that, still printing fine and ink lasting long!

    Ethernet cables are not boring. Ethernet is a feature. I take it because there's an ethernet cable in the box this printer supports ethernet connections and is operable in all the ways you demonstrated but without WiFi.

    • @tech.reviews
      @tech.reviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I believe so yes, but for the everyday user, Wi-Fi is preferred for ease of use

    • @neilgulati7918
      @neilgulati7918 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tech.reviews I purchased my first wi-fi printer I can't remember how many years ago when it was a hard feature to find. Now it's harder to find a printer that does ethernet. Of course Wifi can seem convenient until you need to scan or print large files and you find the range or interference delays printing for quite a long time in some cases or makes scan / print unreliable due to interference. And some people quote safety concerns with wifi too. If you can position the printer next to the router a patch cable makes for fast and reliable scan / print. Ethernet is not boring and should not be disregarded.

    • @tech.reviews
      @tech.reviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2
