      Good point but you have to maintaince every month or year or gets paper jam or catches fire. But I'm still using inkjet printers for 4 years still works like new. Able to refill ink unlike toner cant. Laser are good for text and simple graphic. Reason why I use inkjet cause of photo printing and my image are very complicated for laser to do it job so I use ink instead with no powder dots. If you use for business than laser is for you, try not to hurt yourself.

    • @Milesco
      @Milesco ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Chicago48 But that's the _advantage_ of a printer that uses a separate cartridge for each color -- you just replace the one that runs out. Otherwise, if you have a cheap printer that just uses two cartridges -- one for black and a three-in-one cartridge for cyan, magenta, and yellow -- you have to replace the whole three-color cartridge when just *_one_* of the three colors runs out.

    Liked my ink jet for high quality photos, especially shades of black, but it often had some lines on the page. But I only used it once a year and ink was $100 and would dry out by next year. That was crazy and I tossed it.
    Got a used Lazer printer and it's incredibly reliable. It's old but still works with every device. Even if I haven't used it in a while, it boots right up and prints perfectly and fast. Half as many issues in everything from feeding paper to ink errors, I just wish the quality is better. If you need to print a lot of black and white (like a teacher) it's perfect.
    I really want a high quality color printer I can use occasionally. :(

    A tad lengthy but worth the read for people wanting additional info.
    Love my Canon laser printer. I've had him for about 15 years. I have a small business and the toner cartridges last so, so, so much longer than ink. I got so tired of messing with the ink cartridges. Toners are a ton easier to refill on your own than ink also.
    So you ask yourself, "Why is she here at my video?" Well (eye roll) with all technology things get outdated and don't want to connect to a new PC. My HP completely crashed two weeks ago and went with a Dell for the first time ever. My printer is an all-in-one and my scanner just won't connect. New driver download, calling Canon (they don't support my printer anymore), calling Dell (he at least got the printer to connect for me). I came here for info on the new tank design. I'll stick with my laser. So yes, you answered my question.
    Thank you for the video. If I may assist people a bit from your video?
    I stopped buying my toner cartridges at XYZ store. The black cartridge alone runs about $120/$130 at XYZ store. I was getting all 4 color toners from 'LD Products' for $89. They're refurbished cartridges but I have never had one not work and they last the same amount of printing as XYZ store. Memory chip yields the duration and beyond of the toner, if you refill. You can get the brand names also and ink jet. Just to let your watchers know of this place. I've been ordering from them for years and have never had a problem.

    The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.

    Thank you for this. We print about 5000 pages a month in our small office and our laser printer is on the fritz. I'm going to try a higher end ink tank with a larger duty cycle to replace it since print speeds aren't really much of a factor for us. As a matter of fact, first out print speed is more important which I've read is quicker with an ink jet. At that volume, clogged nozzles shouldn't be a problem either. We'll see!

      If you need the speed you might want to try the HP page wide printers
      They usually print at speeds of 50 to 60 pages per minute they are not like a normal inkjet printer where the print head moves back and forth this is a printhead that is as wide as a piece of paper and does not move back and forth the print head remains stationary

Only problem now is figuring out which type I actually need. I have a couple questions… Do the ink tank printers have the same trouble with the printer heads drying out as the original inkjet printers do? As in, if I don’t use the printer for a month or so will I then have trouble printing. Next, what colored laser printer would you recommend?

      @faith brown inkjet printers have what they call a 'cleaning' process which uses ink to flush the print head so the ink doesn't dry. But if you think about that, you're not using the printer for months, the printer uses ink to stop the inks from drying i.e. inkjet printers slowly run out of ink even if you don't use it. So you if you're planning to use the printer as a paper weight until you need it once in a blue moon then get a laser printer, they last for years and you may not need to change toner like ever

    • @shrujanamsyama9940
      @shrujanamsyama9940 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@faithbrown9316 That will depend on printer. HP printers use cartridge even in ink tank printers just the difference being that in ink tank printer the cartridge is connected to tanks using CISS tubes. But in Epson printer, the printhead is in the printer and won't get clogged. However the print head in Epson can wear out over few thousand prints and replacing them will be expensive

    Hello guys. I need some advices on which brand to buy. Its just for printing few b/w and colored documents and maybe some colored pics for my son. I was thinking of the brands like brother, epson, canon and hp. And maybe we could use some flatbed copier and fax. And some connectivity with wifi will be good too. Any suggestions based on my preference? Thanks. 😊

    I hope you are well!
    I while back, I bought a brother ql-700 for my eBay labels, but now I would like to sell it on as I have upgraded to a zebra gk420d.
    However, on the ptouch editor software, it says it's licensed in my name.
    How can I get rid of this as I don't want my name appearing when the person why buys it from me next uses the printer.
    I hope this makes sense.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    I have the Epson ET-8500 and I like it for art prints. But what I really dont like is the outcome of texts. It isnt sharp enough, it kinda looks like the ink spreads a lot. So I am thinking of getting a laser printer for the best results when printing text. Is that the right idea or is laser just the same?

    • @mipmipmipmipmip
      @mipmipmipmipmip 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, laser will be tack sharp. Best to not buy a cheap $50 bestbuy laser printer, but get a refurbished office printer at around $100-200. Preferably the toner cartridge is the only replaceable part and is good for a few thousand pages. Canon imageclass could be a good bet.

    I find that laser printers are good for making diy booklets. I used to create my own programme booklets for theater productions I directed. Laser printers tend to have that "publication" look to their prints unlike inkjets. Inkjet printers have this texture in their prints that doesn't sit well with me when making those booklets.

But my wife wanted a colour printer for personal projects and I didn't want to go broke on cartridges so I bought an Epson ecotank 4850. I'm a bit scared although I heard good things about these printers. It costed me €435 but refilling is dirty cheap and it last for a lot of time. I don't need extreme colour accuracy or anything like that, so I think it should be fine. I'm waiting to receive it.

    Now there are plenty A4 thermal printers on the market, and most of them are portable. They do include a battery, so you can use them without connecting them to the power. The quality is between 200 and 300 dpi, which is enough to print a text. I am the unhappy owner of an inject, which clogs all the time due to infrequent use. Now I am about to buy a thermal printer because the only consumable I want is the paper.
