Drag and drive is where it’s at man!!? Building my g body to hopefully do exactly that?! Just built a sbc 350 for the first time and I’ve never built an engine before? My 350 sounds pretty nice but I want it to sound like what you got!? Nice work sir!!!

It's a 1990 L-98 350 bored .040 over. Some people call them 358s. But from what I've always gone by, a .030 350 is a 355ci, a .040 350 is a 357ci, and a .060 350 is a 360ci engine. .080 is a 364ci, .090 is a 366ci unit. All with a 3.48 stroke crank. @@jeremymyers5643 Yes, I've worked in 2 shops with dynos plus my rich buddy I grew up, his dad raced Pro Stock boats and had a dyno in a building in his back yard. Start recognizing patterns over 40yrs of continuously building engines. This engine will actually make a bit more than 500hp, but I throw a low end number out there for those who like to argue. Ive built over 1000+ engines since the early 80s. Many drag race engines, dirt track engines, drag boat engines, mud race engines, etc. Even built a 8-71 blown 540 big block Chevy for a drug dealers fan boat for the swamps. You made a good point , they sound so much better when you match them up with a nice cam.
Yep, be too quiet on a stock engine. Good ole cam bring out the sound.
Sounds really good!!

Thanks

I think it's going to sound awesome in the car.
These are going on the 84 Z-28, but it has a similar 355ci engine in it too. Using them with a 2ft pipe.
This engine going in a 79 Cutlass that'll have no mufflers.
A little quieter...bet that not what your neighbors think lol. Sounds great!

It's more chilled at idle, but gets loud as hell on the throttle.

Are those just stock headers bolted upside down?
They are turbo headers with down pipes pointed up. I'm building a twin turbo SBC slowly but surely. Gonna buy an aftermarket block for that project.
