Pro-Line Racing has come out with their popular Trencher tire...but in a 1.9" crawler tire!
Honestly - when I first saw the pictures and heard of it...I thought they were crazy. No way this would work well! I was wrong.
In this video, we unbox these tires so you can see them.
Then put them to the test versus the Pro-Line Super Swamper TSLs, cut stock Traxxas TRX4 tires, and some knockoff hyrax tires available from Amazon.

I imagine in the Predator compound that they would be pretty mean.
You are the one who taught me to look out for dirt/mud getting in the tire though. That is my one concern.
@@RoadsideRC that is something for sure to always watch for and the only issue I have with hyrax is that when they get muddy it's a no go those do look like they have a little deeper tread pattern than the hyrax do. It's gonna be tough to find a single type of tire that is great In every terrain

@@RoadsideRC I know that the pitbull 👽 compound is very good stuff. You should give those a try if you haven't already. But it won't be long before I snag a set of trenchers in the predator compound.
Trenchers would win hands down if they were broken in with 5 hours. Canyons did really well.
Both tires have served me very well!

Try the deep woods with proline two stage foams. They work great on my trx4 sport
I love the Deep Woods!
I just don't have a set of them in 1.9s at the moment.
Nice comparison of some tire options. I am certainly interested in the new trenchers. Ran them all the time on my stampede, I was curious how the pattern would perform on a crawler. Great video.

@@RoadsideRC I really want to try a new set and tune the foams, That was the only issue for me as my rig is front heavy and the stock foam got squished quickly, Sidewall flex was a huge issue.
I reckon the snipped canyon trails with proper foams can hang out with ANY Tire out there.
I run the cut and sipped trx4 tires on my comp rig.they do really good.
Agree 100%! I really like them personally. I also like that a lot of people sell a set of 4 for $20-30 because they think they are not any good! :)

I never thought they would do good in wet/sticky conditions, but they seem to clean rather well.
I ordered after watching video and i ordered g8 they had them in predator but after watching exocaged video on them I went with g8 hope I chose right ones worked great for you

Brother that is the best wheel comparison video I've seen 👍😍👍 , I actually like the trench crawling tyres. They all done well on the Rocks but going up wood is so hard because of the traction and slippery Surface , dont know if you have done this but have you ever tried the WD40 Trick were you spray your tyres with a good coat of D40 then let it Soak in for 24 to 48 hours 😉 it really makes a big difference, I would love you to do that test and video it to show people the difference bro. I really enjoyed every 588 seconds ☺

The idea of using some kind of a tire softener is a good idea. I might just try that to see what happens!
The perditor is best in comp or really cold you want a lil slip and slide sometimes great work

I’ve been running duratrax showdowns. They don’t look scale but they perform amazing in both my crawlers. These trenchers will likely be ok my next build tho.

I like the new tires, I just ordered a set of the 1.9 trenchers in predator compound. I've ran the swampers before in predator and g8 compound they are a great all around tire. Also run the proline Hyraxs they really well. Im curious to see how these new tires handle in predator compound. Great video looks like you guys got a cool little crawling area.

Yeah, I don't have a set of the Ruptures. Would be interesting to see how they compare.
I believe they are the best tire for 1.9 well see soon. when they get them back in stock they are a lil taller 4.92in.

Sorry - we bought the body used and it was already on there.
Wet wood is complicated for all tires, but this fact worked well, perhaps because it was unused.

Any idea what the size on these are? I know they are 1.9s, but what's the height? Hyrax are 4.75 and too tall for my setup. Lots of body rub.
They claim 4.75 also.

Right now I run pitbull berserker 1.9 w/stock(dirty richard) Foams and alien compound. I think I would benefit from going with a softer foam, which I plan to buy. But for the tread pattern they're a pretty good tire for the terrain here in eastern Ky. I was planning on going with J concepts scorpios before I saw the trenchers. May have to flip a coin. Thanks for the info, your the first person that I've seen using them so far. Very interesting look.

Canyon trails are the most underrated tire ,and you get a set with rims diry cheap from Trx4 Defender owners .But i prefer my Louise Champ tire.

You still can't beat the stock tires that are cut, but the new ones looked to do very well
I really do like cut TRX4 tires! And so many people seem to not like them for some reason. They are a great all-around tire, and can be purchased cheap!
@@RoadsideRC You might want to flip your cut TRX4 tires around (as you have them on backwards) and they would work even better (uncut I like them either direction, but not once they are cut). I keep trying other tires, and keep coming back to my stock (cut) originals. I run mine with the stock foams (un-vented), which does hurt side-hilling a little, but the grip is just sooooo good. All that said, the pro-line's are on my list of tires I want to try.

I also love the TRX4 Canyon Trails that have been modified. I bought deep woods but honestly not impressed.
Thanks for the tips. I used Deep Woods 2.2s on my Wraith and really enjoyed them - especially after the foams got softer. I have thought about trying them in 1.9s, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Hyrax are the best 4.75 tire I have tried at are comp and I have test out a lot of tires just ready for the jconcepts ruptures for pro trial truck

Trenchers look to do well...however I've been a Super Swampers fan for a long time.
I do wonder if the Super Swampers are a better all around tire. This one might struggle if it gets clogged with mud/dirt.
