Element ECTO Tire Testing with Pro-Line Trencher Crawler RC Tires!

- In this video, I do a head-to-head comparison of the stock General Grabber tires and the Pro-Line Trencher Crawler tires (amzn.to/3jm2eIW).
The Pro-Line Trencher Crawler tires have already proven themselves capable on Grandpa Roadside's Redcat Gen8. Now, we give them a test in the Predator compound on this Element ECTO rc crawler!

Give it a set of wheels with a little bit of offset…like SSD. Some variants, like the Slot and 8-hole designs have 3mm on it.

I know this is a dumb question but I'm absolutely brand new to the hobby. I noticed you didn't glue those prolines. Do you need to do that or do you just slide them on and go.
These are on beadlock wheels. The wheels actually clamp the bead of the tire.

Looking for my next crawler. Curious, why choose an Ecto over a Sendero HD? Is the Ecto more capable?
I chose the Ecto specifically as it was the newest variant of the Enduro.
I have not driven it back-to-back with a Sendero, but here is my thoughts:
- The Ecto has a huge advantage in performance just simply due to the body & bumper design. This is for weight and for tire access.
- the sendero has a more typical rear suspension design, which is a plus compared to the trailing arm setup.
Honestly, I would pick whichever you thought looked better.
Personally, I give the nod to the Ecto due to the body and bumper design.

The really cool thing about them is they are variable offset!
The 1st video I saw with this thing I knew you were putting tires on it. The stock ones don't look like they do good at all
Tires are always a good upgrade on a RTR...unless it is the TRX4 Sport!
@@RoadsideRC Amen to that however my 2 crawlers have really good tires as well the redcat just needed some different phones and some weight in there and my yellow truck could definitely use better phones as well

Exo puts Trenches on his Ecto and suddenly every TH-camr runs them
They are a really good tire.
I had actually purchased these before I ever purchased the truck. If I knew he was going to run them, I would have purposely picked something else.

I try to strike a balance of having it as background music, but it doesn't always balance out that way.
