Front Wheelarch Liner Replacement and Mud/Rust Trap - 2010 Audi A3 8P 1.6TDI Sportback

In this video I replace the left front (N/S/F) plastic wheel arch liner which had become damaged following hitting a puddle/flood in recent winter weather.
Once removed, I found impacted mud and silt at the rear edge in between the wing/fender, inner wing and front of sill. Impacted mud retains moisture and can cause rust/corrosion.
Water and any leaves or other objects drain into this area from the plenum chamber, so this area needs to be cleaned from time to time.
Some vehicles have drain grommets at the base of the plenum chamber which can block and cause a build up water which can cause an interior water leak via the heater intake, however the VW Golf, Audi A3 and other Volkswagen Group vehicles derived from this platform, drain the water at each end of the plenum chamber into the cavity at the rear of the inner wings.
