You know, now that I think about it, Future Trunks' introduction makes him look like a fanfiction character. I mean, he shows up, beats the previous main villain easily, can turn Super Saiyan, is the son of two characters who didn't have a relationship at this point, and has a tragic backstory. At least he becomes more developed later on.
you are so correct , its because of awesome characters like this we are actually inspired to create our own hilariously ridiculous fan fiction.
I like to think of it as an example of how badly written DBZ actually is.
Wing0Alchemist it cant be that bad as people tend it to be there are worse , , i think the writing improved later on really , at first its really average and awkward , it does have plot holes but tends to tell the story properly than other animes.

Especially if we take in consideration that Gero didn't have Namek's datas. I think powerlevels stopped making sense after Frieza saga and now in Super they are just laughable with Goku using ssjb against everyone and Beerus conveniently getting stronger for plot reason in every saga making always more ridiculous that he thought ssjg goku was a good fight for him.

I love what they did with Trunks. He's still the utter badass that would go straight for the kill like he is in the original, but he is also a bit of an awkward teenager telling some jokes. It's actually pretty nice.

When you realize King Cold was in his second form the entire time.
Frieza's race/Arcotians have always been described vaguely when it comes to their forms. Some things say that Frieza is the only one that does that because he wanted to make a power limiter, other things say that they get to decide how they look. It's real confusing.
@@redryder7521 It might have. In the original, the difference between 2nd form Freeza and final from Freeza was immense. And when Freeza and King Cold both landed, the Z warriors described the power levels on that ship as "Two Freezas." If 2nd form King Cold and final form freeza is the same, then final form King Cold must be extremely powerful.
